Overall Experience: I would choose this school again because it is very affordable and has the RN program that I was looking for.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Mstate is a great school to attend. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and the teachers actually care about you and your education.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Being at Minnesota State community and tech. college is an amazing experience.

Academic Experience: Class registration is very easy, and to me it's very fun. There are some special study options that allow you to do internships for credit which I plan on taking advantage of in the future. I think some of the most common programs associated here are the Liberal Arts degree and Computer Science. I've heard good things about the professors, and the curriculum seems to be good enough. :)

Academic Flexibility: I had a lot of transferable credits, and I'm very, very pleased with the transfer process. I've got a lot of basics covered for my Liberal Arts degree, and I've got a set of electives which were fairly given. I'm not disappointed in this process what-so-ever.

Overall Experience: My experiences here are going great. The staff has been friendly and helpful, applications were fairly easy, getting in is no problem, the campuses are nearby if I need them, but I love the option of ecampus. My biggest draw factor besides location is the tuition cost of the school, and I really believe you don't need some fancy, private college to get a great degree and education.

Overall Experience: There is a good variety of courses, but one thing that is a little bumming, is that there's no associate's degree in english. I love the options to either be in class, take hybrid classes, or be fully online, and the sizes aren't too bad.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I haven't heard much in this aspect. I know that internships are available to be had through M-State, and I know a lot of computer science majors have an easy street into Arvig Communications.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I love that I don't have to drive anywhere for my courses. I can study at my own pace, and setup a study/learning time that works for me and my schedule. So far, peer-to-peer interaction is minimal and it's hard to build a decent professor/student relationship, but communication with your professor is key. If you're struggling to get things in on time, or if there's too much for you to do, talk to your professor. Many are very willing to help you out, and it's always a good idea to practice good time management. The registration process was a breeze, and the workload will seem a little more than an in-class thing, but that's because you really have to read your chapters!

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is great! I love the pay-per-credit plans, and it's such a relief from the payments I was facing with a big private college. The financial aid office was helpful enough, and the FAFSA didn't have to many hiccups getting that through. Just try to get that FAFSA in early, look for scholarships applicable through your school and outside your school. Set a goal to obtain as many scholarships as necessary to avoid loan debt.

Career Services: I've been hearing good and bad, so I really believe it's who you get/find in means of career help/support. The few people I've contacted so far have been wonderful and then there's one who was very busy as far as getting around to assist me.

Campus Resources: I'm actually an ecampus student, so I do have all the resources of any of the 3 or 4 campus my college has, but in order to save gas, I utilize any online resources available. For the most part, there's plenty enough for me to use to figure out what I need to do. There's even an online bookstore so I don't have to make the trip to one of the campuses to get my books. The website offers help chat sessions all the time, and the site is fairly easy to navigate. My only getup is when you're trying to look at degree overviews or plan overviews for your degree the page can't find it at all, and you have to reload several times (a couple times it took a few hours) to get your page up. I recommend printing them if you struggle with the issue.

Student Body: It's just you're average student body. Everybody makes some friends and does their homework and goes home.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I never really understood the financial aid process much myself, so I can't say if its bad or not

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: I haven't been to the career services much, but they are very helpful there

Academic Experience: I just switched programs and I haven't started it yet. I do have to buy a new computer and a digital camera as it is required though so that stinks, but I've researched and it's supposed to be a great program so I'm excited.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I like all of my classes. My teachers are awesome and fun. Lectures are never a bore to me and I feel like I understand a lot of the curriculum.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Theres always things going on like job fairs, and transfer days, things like that. I think its really helpful. I personally don't care for the fitness center only because its pretty small, but its extremely clean and they have multiple groups going on.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: When I was doing business at NDSU they did have great opportunities for business students. When in the business class for freshmen it had a bit more homework than the class should have and had some work that I felt was unnecessary for the class. The campus does have a great facility downtown for business students and has some awesome opportunities for college students.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The academics is a good variety but the classes are pretty big. I didn't find that I had the best professors and that is why I decided to switch schools. The registration process was okay. It depended on your major but I found a lot of students not being able to get the classes they need because of such a late class registration time which they could do nothing about.

Academic Flexibility: Transferring credits from Concordia College Moorhead to MState was easy. They worked with me and didn't make me do things I didn't understand by myself, they helped me through everything to make sure it was all done correctly and I was credited with what I deserved.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I would choose MState again for sure! The professors and class options are great. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The campus size is wonderful and really appreciated in the frigid winter months. The different types of learning strategies available are numerous. The people are wonderful. I don't have anything negative to say about my school!

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The class options are great. There are classes here for every type of student and are very geared toward a specific degree if you know where you are headed. There are also lots of classes available to those who are undecided, but are still very beneficial classes. The professors are all great. They are helpful and kind and great at relaying the information to you. The class sizes are good and you do not feel like one in a million, you feel like a student!

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I have not had much experience with any of these areas, but the people in the career centers are kind and easy to talk to if I need anything.

4 College Freshman

Student Body: MState is full of diversity. You see many different ethnic groups represented, hear multiple languages, and see many different types of dress. From what I can tell, people seem to be very accepting of each other. I have encountered many kind, friendly, and outgoing individuals and have made some great friends.
