5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I think the fact that campus is gated and there is security monitoring who enters and leaves campus makes it feel very safe.

3 College Freshman

Weather: It's by Chicago therefore the weather in the windy city is unpredictable. This winter was way too long and the summers not long enough.

4 College Freshman

Local Area: Downers grove is a suburb next to Chicago, which makes it nice and quite during the week but with great places to go to during the weekend. About an hour away is UIC another dental college and we sometimes have events with their classes.

3 College Freshman

Academics: I'm in the Dental Medicine Program, and have had mixed fillings about my education regarding my dental classes so far. We have an amazing SIM clinic, unfortunately the dental faculty is all over the place at times, and we have a lot of down time where we are just sitting around without making the best of our time. The work load is substantial, because we are in dental school.

3 College Freshman

Academics: I came to Midwestern University because of its Dental Medicine program, the campus is great, the professors are specialist in their field, therefore the classes are nicely integrated. The dental classes are a little unorganized because the dental program is only 2 years old.

3 College Student

Off-Campus Housing: Many extremely nice options but with a price tag to match

4 College Student

Diversity: This is a graduate school so the diversity is excellent because they select the best candidates from anywhere

4 College Student

Athletics: There are no athletics but there are many intramural opportunities

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: This school does not have any official athletic teams, but they do have intramural sports. They also have a gym in the Health and Wellness Center you can use.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I heard the dorms are very expensive on campus, so most students rent an apartment near school.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: You need your ID to get into the campus or else it becomes difficult. You also need your ID to enter any building. They are pretty strict about this. You also cannot be more than 10 minutes late for most exams in the testing center or they might not let you take the test.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Sometimes it is difficult to find parking, but if you come early enough, you can find a good spot. You mostly park in the parking garage.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: There are many majors at this school such as pharmacy, dentistry, medicine, and physical therapy. They are all very challenging programs.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: Pharmacy program is good and very challenging. Expect to complete several rotations.

Medicine and dental programs are also very well-established.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: The courses are rather challenging, and tests can be difficult at times. You need to study hard.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: This school has a Wellness Center where you can get all your immunizations done. Security is high, so it is a relatively safe school.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: This school is not that diverse with most students being Caucasian. There are some other races, but not many.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Classes are challenging and tests can be difficult if you don't study for them.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Classrooms are relatively nice and spacious. The library is rather small and only has 2 floors. The cafeteria is spacious but offers limited diversity of food. Wellness center offers lots of space for sports.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I heard it is very expensive but not as expensive as living on campus. But there are several apartment complexes near school.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are many restaurants around the area that offer diversity. There are also several malls that have good places to eat.

5 College Sophomore

Weather: Winters are cold and snowy. Summers are very hot. Similar to Chicago weather.

2 College Sophomore

Transportation: You can't rely too much on public transportation, so it might be a good idea if you have your own car. Carpooling also works.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: This is a very expensive school, so you should always keep an eye out for scholarships. The school offers some scholarships which you can apply for through their website, but they are not many.

4 College Sophomore

Technology: The library has many computers that are relatively new. Internet works quickly. Printing costs money.
