5 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The college I attended before Mid Michigan Community College was not a good fit for me. I had no trouble with the course work, but it was the negative attitudes of most of the staff and instructors that made the experience troubling. Mid Michigan is great! Plenty of positive attitudes and helpful people. I was surprised my credits were transferrable, and grateful.

Overall Experience: My experience has been great! I would tell everyone to attend Mid Michigan Community College! The staff/instuctors are all helpful and positive. The students are as well.

Overall Experience: I believe the grade we get, we have earned! This is especially important to me. Course work may be demanding at times, but I also believe it is beneficial, not busy work. Class sizes are always comfortable, not to many students where you might not want to get involved in discussions. And the professors try to have everyone participate at a level they are comfortable with. Its a great school.

Overall Experience: What experience I have had with the career services has been great. They helped me get my resume and cover letter ready so I could apply for a summer job. My program at Mid Michigan Community College doesn't have an internship, but I feel I need to acquire some experience before I leave college. Career services has been great helping. My accounting instructor has also been great about letting me know about opportunities at the University I will be transferring to.

Online Courses: I have had varying experiences with my online classes. If the instructor can keep assignments graded on time, it makes the class easier. The feedback is sometimes the only interaction you might have. When a class requires discussion boards, they tend to be more about individuals not responding to each other's posts.

Student Body: There are two campuses and I am at the northern, small one. There really isn't a lot of diversity among the student body. What does exist is everyone seems to be pleasant and get along with each other.

Tuition & Financial Aid: It is definitely more affordable to attend a community college over a university. I receive financial aid and when I have any questions, the retention officer and financial aid office have been very helpful and answered them thoroughly. Biggest tip I could offer, is ask questions. The staff will help you find an answer.

College Sophomore

Career Services: Since I haven't graduated yet, I'm not sure how post-grad services are. I have used the career center to help with a resume so I might attempt to get some experience at a job similar to my chosen career. They were great with all their help and suggestions.

Academic Experience: My specific major is a 3+1 program with Northwood University. I am going for a Busi Admin with a major in Accounting Bachelor Degree. At Mid Michigan Community College, the atmosphere is all positive and everyone is very helpful. I am attending full time, so I am doing school work while classes are in all the time. Mid Michigan has many areas all over campus where you can find a spot to work on your course work.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I feel the instructors are all fair and encouraging. I feel challenged above what is just required to pass the class. The Learning Services Center helped me narrow my interest to a degree I could acquire. They are great, and helpful whenever you have a question concerning anything to do with attending from registration, where to find a quiet place to study, or a tutor for an online class.

Campus Resources: Mid Michigan has a great Learning Services Center, I use them regularly. They have math and English help available all day, and you can get tutors through them that are a great help.

The staff in the library is also very helpful and friendly.

Academic Flexibility: I have had some teachers who have been totally perfect with my hassles. Many teachers have been able to switch things around for me.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The school has taught me a lot, and it has been a great buffer for my 4-year college experience.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The courses are generally great and fun and the professors as well. There are a lot of classes to take, but nothing too high level.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: This school is a school for transfers, unless you are a nursing student. The nursing program is wonderful. The rest of the programs are par or above par.

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: It was a great experience, though there are some tough times to fully understand the professors wishes. A better understanding of online learning from the teachers would help the students understanding of the topic.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: The student body is mostly there to learn and leave, but there are times when they will stick around and talk to one another. This is great for a community college because there is actually some community.

4 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: This is a great school because of the tuition. The money I have paid was never excessive and the people were genuine when helping me get my tuition paid.

College Freshman

Career Services: I have yet to graduate from this school. I have another year before I receive my Associates Degree and then transfer to a new school.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I do like my school right now, but since it is a community college I cannot delve deeper in a subject the way I could at a four year college. This is okay because I plan on going to a four year college to get my undergraduate degree. The classes are very good because we have many professors for smaller classes. The homework is never more than anyone can handle. They also give opportunities for students to work at the school for their tuition.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The professors happen to be a very good mix of people. The curriculum is up to date so that the transfer students are not left in the dust when they transfer.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Since there are two campuses in separate cities there are some perks I do not receive, though there are the necessary resources. I have been satisfied with the resources provided. There is no need that goes unnoticed. The campus is basically one building though, it is a community college.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Overall good experience. Some of the best professors I have ever had!

3 College Junior

Student Body: Lots of 20yr old boys playing pokemon and those type things. It's a little off putting at first, but whatever everybody has their own thing they're into.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I couldn't ask for better professors! They take the time to explain things, and they truly are concerned with your success not only in the classroom, but also in your career.
