Academic Experience: Since Classroom sizes are not very large the teachers are able to assist students very easily. I have always enjoyed not only my classes but the teachers as well.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have not transferred credits. My over all experience has been wonderful I think Mid-State Technical college is a great place to go to school.

4 College Junior

Student Body: I take online classes mostly, so I haven't met many of my classmates, however the academic discussions I have had online have been very productive. Also in my face to face class the student body was very helpful and supportive, always willing to discuss something or help out. I would say alot of the students are returning/non-traditional students, so we have alot in common with juggling work/school.

Campus Resources: The school has boards availible to share rides, books, post job openings, social events, etc, which is very cool I think. I believe they also have a very comprehensive online program. This last semester they encouraged all students to sign a "commit to complete" pledge, and at the end of the semester two students finishing with an acceptable grade were drawn for gift cards. Very cool and the atmosphere is great!

Campus Resources: There are always computers availible at the library and printing is free. Staff is always there to help with technical questions and assist in using computer equipment. Wifi is strong too.

Campus Resources: This isn't a live-on campus so there aren't many amenities but the library is great and the Academic Sucess Center is wonderful. It would be nice to have more food options than the vending machines. The school is very clean and easy to navigate too.

Academic Flexibility: I give MSTC an A for customer service, good teachers, ease of application and acceptance, and the quality of education I feel I am receiving. I have had no problems with my school so far. Most of my classes have been online and I feel the teachers have done an outstanding job facilitating my learning.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I am a nursing major. Our classes range from what kind of grade we have to have in the class, it depends how far we are in the program. I always like to be above what we are supposed to have, so I know that I am safe in the class and don't have to repeat it.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: My professors are very involved with the students and are willing to help us out if we have questions or problems. They provide valid advice on what we should do, and also provide answers on what other classes we should take in our program along with what we can do better.

Career Services: a lot of these are located at one or two campuses out of the four campuses available.

4 College Student

Academic Experience: i like the small class size. it makes it easier to learn.

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: My education is worth the money I invest. My financial aid officer is very helpful in helping with my financial needs so I can finish my schooling.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: I see a lot of different age groups where I go to. Many people that I have classes are all different race and ages. Some have many things going on in their lives while trying to squeeze school in. No matter what their situation is, they are trying hard to succeed.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I think that the education offered at MSTC is worth every penny. I know that the education I am receiving is seen to exceed standards and will help me when I graduate in finding a job.

Campus Resources: Facilities Are Nice – The facilities on campus are pretty nice. We have a gym, a student center called the ASC or academic support center where you can go to get help if you are struggling in a class, library, study labs/rooms, computer labs, cafeteria, and vending machines are available as well so you don't have to leave campus to grab lunch or supper, etc.

Student Body: Everyone Is Equal – My school mostly consists of people with part-time jobs and/or families. We have an especially high percentage of displaced workers due to the economy. Most range from ages 40-60. Most students are not just students. Meaning, they play many roles including, student, parent, worker, etc. Everyone is very friendly, but most everyones main goal is to get their education so they can move on in life with their new career and be successful, so making friends is not a top priority for most.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Make Sure to Meet Deadlines – The education I am getting is priceless. Therefore, the value of my education is worth all the tuition I have paid because in the long run it will help me achieve my goals and progress in life with a secure job and college education. I really like how affordable my colleges school tuition is. The Financial aid process is really very simple and easy to do. There are many deadlines for having forms filled out and papers turned in which is why it is very important to keep these dates written down so you can be sure to have everything submitted on time to meet there deadlines and to ensure that everything will go smoothly as far as receiving your financial aid on time. My experiences with the financial aid office have always been above and beyond what I expected. The staff are all very helpful and care about you receiving your financial aid on time. They also give great advice as far as things you should/should not do that could mess your financial aid up which most people won't tell you. For example, if you take a class and want to drop it...they will advise you not to do this because even though financial aid has already paid for that class, you will be responsible for giving that money back even though it was distributed to you. Tips for getting financial aid at MSTC would be to meet with a financial aid staff member and talk about first if your eligible and second what kind of aid you would qualify for. Then the next steps are easy, you just go online to MSTC school website, click on financial aid, follow the directions and click submit!

Campus Resources: Facities Are Good – the library is good, the gym is ok, the weightroom is ok as well, the student center is very good, but overall its good.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Happy With Choice – I am very happy that I went to midstate, great teachers and it makes going to school alot easier than I thought it would be.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Academic Program – the business program is a very good program because of the great teachers there in that program.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Computer Labs – there could be more computer labs or they could open more often for student use.

5 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Course Worth – I believe that the education that I am receiving is well worth the financial aid I am receiving.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: Professor/Student Relationship – It is a lot harder to interact with the professor or instructor with online courses because you usually have to wait for them to respond. But, I found that if I get stuck and need the professors help I will just e-mail them and work on my other coursework in the mean time so it works out well.

Online Courses: Still Don't Know What to Think – I took a few online courses this semester and was nervous because I had never done any before. The classes seem to have very little layout and the teachers seem to take over a week to grade anything. I don't care much for not having a teacher that I can get a quick answer from since it takes over a day for the online teachers to respond to questions and emails. I sometimes forget assignments until the last minute because I am not physically in the class and still am not sure how to correctly respond to discussion questions. In the future, I am only going to take classes that meet in person and have more hands on contact.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: mid state offers a lot of different programs. All the staff is really helpful and helps tudents inthere path to sucess. I couldnt see myself going to another college.
