Campus Food: Food and dining options are great. There are options for student on and off campus. There are dining halls in each neighborhood and with a dining plan you are able to eat at each. The dining plans all include unlimited food and a combo x-change which can be used as a meal once a day. The X-changes can be used all throughout campus including the MSU food truck, the International Food Court, Sparty's and the Neighborhood Dining Halls. There is a variety of things to each in each dining hall and fits with many dietary needs. The largest cafeteria is Brody Hall which is located in Brody Neighborhood. It has places like VegOut (all vegetarian cuisine), Dolce (deserts, yum), HomeStyle (all the taste of home in a school caf), among so many more.

Campus Food: A lot of options, but sometimes hard for health nuts to find food to fuel up with. I'm vegan, and it was rough to consistently get healthy food. However, having unlimited fruit and salad bar available was a perk.

Campus Food: I usually eat at the Sparty's in Hubbard Hall between classes because their grilled cheese sandwich is one of the best I have ever had. In addition, I love the international center because I can eat food from places I am used to like Subway.

Campus Food: I'm a huge fan of combo exchanges! Sadly, I am unable to say the same as far as cafeteria food. As said previously, I very much enjoy cooking so when I come to the cafeteria and have mediocre cooking it doesn't set well with me or my stomach.

Campus Food: The food is usually decent but it is not healthy at all!

Campus dining is convenient, but the quality of food lacks consistency. Many cafeterias prepare a variety of different choices, everyday. Dorm food might not be top-notch, but the University really does try hard. On special dinner days the cooks step it up a bit, and the food takes a small leap toward divinity. Some cafeterias serve better food than others, and a large majority of students will agree that either the Gallery at Snyder-Phillips or Shaw Hall cafeteria food is far superior to other dormitories. The “meal on the go” option, called Totally Takeout, is a convenient way for busy students to stock up on soups, sandwiches, and snacks for their dorm rooms. Students now have the option of getting takeout from the Gallery, as well.

The cafeteria is not that bad as long as students’ expectations aren’t high. The food isn’t going to be home-style cooking, but students with meal plans generally eat better than off-campus students who are living off of fast food and ramen noodles. Cafeteria food is an acquired taste. It’s not great on the first encounter, but once students learn to lower their tastebuds’ standards, most agree it’s not that bad. Find time to make a trip to the Gallery for a good meal.
