Greek Life: Enhances your college experience tenfold

Greek Life: I love being greek at Miami! The women I've met through my sorority have become some of my best friends and are truly there for all the right reasons. Miami greek life has gotten a bad reputation lately due to the actions of a few misguided frat boys. Don't let them ruin your impression of Miami greeks!

Greek Life: I am slightly biased since I am Greek, but it has really been a great experience for me so far. My chapter is very involved with community service and philanthropy, making a healthy balance when mixing in our fun social events. My brothers have been an incredible support system for me, as well as encouraging me to get more involved in other orgs on campus. I have met so many new people through going Greek that I feel it is the perfect way to truly make the most of your time at Miami.

Greek Life: We have a lot of sororities and fraternities that get in trouble for hazing

Greek life is huge at Miami University. A couple of mishaps with formals recently resulted in the termination of multiple Greek houses, but Greek life still dominates campus. Of course, there are some unaffiliated students (who are not on varsity teams) who still enjoy their time here very much without joining a Greek organization. However, rushing a house makes a big difference. It can make the University seem much smaller and gives you more social opportunities.

If you do decide to rush, it is guaranteed you will be able to find a house you fit in with—there are more than 30 fraternities and 20 sororities at the school, each of which has different personalities and values.
