Overall Experience: Considering MCC-Longview is a community college, the education you receive is excellent. The price is cheap and they help you with financial aid and any disabilities a student might have. I am satisfied with it.

Overall Experience: Well this will be my first year of college and what I have experienced so far was to always stay fully dedicated to school and never give up even if that means to give your all even when you feel like you don't. Its a great way to discover more things about yourself that you probably thought you couldn't do at first. The thing I love the most is that you have people around you to support you and cheer you on when you feel like you just can't do it anymore. College is the most life changing thing that any person will experience especially transitioning from being a high school student to a complete adult that takes on full responsibilities like college and discovering what life is really about and how to survive those 4 or 8 years of life changing experiences that will change lives forver

Online Courses: It seems very straightforward. I have spoken to the instructor already and am looking forward to SUMMER CLASS

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am paying out of pocket. I still have debt I am paying from my degree from KU. I pay monthly.

Academic Experience: I start summer school in 2 weeks. I have waited for a GIS program to get my certificate because I have been out of the workforce a while. HOPEFULLY once I finish next year I can ease into a professional job.

Academic Flexibility: I was able to take dual credit classes in high school. All of my credits were easily transferred to this college.

Overall Experience: I am the first in my family to go to college. I had to make all the decisions on my own without the input of the ones I loved to help me. It took me a while to decide what I wanted to do and this college allowed me to explore several different options. I am finally on a path that will allow me to be successful and it is all because of the help and resources available at this school.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: The professors that I have had are wonderful. They are very helpful inside the classroom and usually available outside the classroom for special concerns or questions. The classes themselves are not too big or too small. And we have a variety of classes for all interests.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I am changing from a degree plan that almost guarantees a high demand job right out of graduation to a degree plan of creative writing. I plan to write children's stories for children with special psychological needs and teen novels. My success in this field pretty much depends on my own abilities. So may think its a foolish change but I have medical conditions that are requiring such change and it is what I want to do.

Online Courses: I am changing from traditional classes to all online classes this summer. I feel that online classes allows you to work on your own schedule and at your own pace. I also feel that online classes allows the student to focus on the area that they need to study more when in a traditional classroom the focus is on the area that the majority of the class needs to focus on.

Student Body: I go to a community college and the first thing I noticed was that this definitely in not high school. People of all different races, religions, and backgrounds go to school here. I have been on this campus for five years, because I work in the bookstore, and I have never heard any hateful words or discrimination toward anyone. Everyone studies and works together and are successful because of it.

Tuition & Financial Aid: We offer low tuition for the quality of classes offered. I personally receive assistance from a vocational rehab facility and the school is wonderful at communicating my needs to the facility without any extra work on my behalf.

Academic Experience: I am currently trying to change my major. The program I am currently enrolled in is wonderful with the best teachers, however, I am unable to continue the program due to medical issues.

Academic Experience: Our college offers a wide variety of curriculum that can benefit students of all abilities and interests.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Our campus has free tutoring. I haven't had the opportunity to use this resource in a few years but when I did, I was very pleased. I know several students come in to the book store where I work and express their gratitude towards the tutors.

Academic Flexibility: Really this school is convenient, especially if you work part or full time. You can easily schedule your classes around your work schedule so you don't have to give up one or the other. A great aspect is that the professors know out right that you have work and family outside of school and they are usually willing to work with you on any conflicts that you have.

Overall Experience: Originally I wasn't going to go here, but decided it financially made since at the time and it ended up being the best decision I have ever made. I have met many amazing people since I've gone to MCC and they have really helped shape my life. Since I have gone here I changed my career focus and advisers were able to help me transition into my new goals. I have been in contact with many people who have helped further me and who I know I can go back to for help if I ever need it. I think MCC is a great place and if I could do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Overall MCC offers a lot of different courses in a wide variety of fields. I do warn that there are 5 different locations so one might have to drive to different campuses in order to get the class they want. Professors are usually great, with a few exceptions. The class sizes are usually pretty good. They start off pretty big but by the end of the semester are usually dwindled down because students can't handle the work load and drop.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The degree you get from the school and its worth really depends on the program you are in. I'm in the dental assisting program and it is highly reviewed by businesses in the area and they often recruit many of the students once they graduate. I can't really speak for any of the other programs but I know that there is a statistic on the website saying that 90 something percent of students are able to find work after graduation.
