Academic Experience: The equine massage therapy was very helpful for what i wanted to do.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I loved the help they gave me when I needed it and they made me fell like a person not a number.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It has over 150 horses, a semi-large campus, dorms are on site

2 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: To my knowledge, it used to be one of the BEST equestrian schools in the world. Sadly it is far from that now.

Honestly, you can get so much better education cleaning stalls at a local stable in exchange for lessons or general horse knowledge.

Cons- The facility is falling apart, they seem to be desperate for instructors, and most horses seem to just have had enough of their life there. Most of your fellow students were nearly unbearable to work with.

Pros- The horses.

Campus Resources: They hold a fitness class once a week in the cafeteria, other than that, there is nothing. They have a "welcome bonfire" at the beginning of each quarter. It's not friendly nor inviting.

1 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: There is none. There isn't even wifi in common area like the cafeteria.

2 College Sophomore

Career Services: Every graduate I've met, either stayed at the school as a GA (not paid) or do not work in the horse industry at all.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: You have to work around the school schedule. There is no "I work on Tuesdays, and Fridays, so m classes have to be the other days. School is EVERY DAY. Classes cannot be changed, your responsibility block (feeding, cleaning stalls) is the same every day.

2 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Being a tech school its difficult to get decent financial aid that allows you to complete the program at normal speed. You can extend your dispersed aid by going to school twice as long. Also since aid is hard to get, its nearly impossible to get extra aid to help pay for the mandatory supplies you need to have for the program.

1 College Sophomore

Online Courses: There is no online courses.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: In the horse world. its mediocre. They arenas are plentiful and kept up all right, but the stables are dilapidated. There is only a cafeteria area and dorms, which are windowless cement squares and broken down buses. There is no open student area or library or computer facilities.

2 College Sophomore

Student Body: Some students are very hard working, most students though are just there to be there. Very insecure bunch as most are younger and female. Most are very perverted and do anything for attention and give the school a very bed rep.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: there are 8 indoor arenas and large stalls for the horses

Academic Experience: One Major, Several Programs. Being an equestrian college, all the programs at the school are helping you to develop into someone in the horse industry. all the staff has the same interests, there are no classes that don't relate directly to what you are doing in the program, therefore providing you will the best possible education for the equine field!

Tuition & Financial Aid: There Is Not Much – Being a trade school MM has less financial aid to offer to their students. It can be hard to qualify to get a lot of money so its key to get everything in on time and hope for the best. Its worth every penny you spend to go there so despite the lack in financial aid you are going to get the best education available.

Academic Experience: Perfect for a Hands on Learner – Its very hands on learning and a great staff to student ratio. there is not much "book work" its learn as you go. From day one you are working closely with the Horses in the programs learning the horse business first hand. The school is strictly equine studies so every teacher you talk to really helps you apply what you are learning, unlike at other schools where one of your teachers might not have ever even touched a horse.

Career Services: Excellent Career Help – Meredieth Manor has students create a profile, resume, and book of their work and maintains a website for alumni to post their resumes as well as featuring several graduates. They also document online where their graduates go so you can get a sense of what other students are doing.

Student Body: Close Group – Usually there is one common factor that ties all of the students together and thats the horses. Most days everyone can put aside differences for the love of the horses and the education you are receiving. As in any campus there is a lot of different personalities and not everyone is going to get along, nor do they have to. You just find the group of people you enjoy and be with them, not worry about the others.

Campus Resources: The Education Cannot Be Beat – he work is hard, I am not going to lie. There were numerous times
where I wanted to stop what I was doing and cry. The Manor waits for
no one and having a strong attitude towards hard work is also very
important. There was a woman that came in my last quarter who was
about 37. Apparently no one had told her that at Meredith Manor we do
our own stalls, and all of the grooming and feeding for the horses.
She expected, I suppose, that this riding school was only a few hours
of light riding a day. She promptly withdrew her second week.

The negative reviews come from people who didn't make it in the
program, or felt that they were perfect as is, and didn't believe in
the schools system therefore never progressed. This naturally limits
jobs and employers that are willing to deal with employees with that
attitude. There is a saying that goes around the school that holds
true time after time. You get out what you put in. You work hard, have
an open mind towards instruction, are responsible, you WILL get an
incredible education.

Tuition & Financial Aid: They Knew My Name! I had attended a college prior to Meredith Manor for three years before I decided that art was not what I wanted to do. The biggest thing I noticed at MM was that the student body was small and all of the staff, not just the instructors but those in the office, knew me. They knew my name, my horse and always said hi and asked me how things were going. Naturally this made the financial aid a breeze, when there was a problem or my extra money check (what ever its called) came in they would find me and talk to me IN PERSON about it. At my other college, the only time I ever knew there was a problem was at the end of the semester when I had to pay large sums of money in back bills that were NEVER sent to me, and no one would try to even tell me there was a problem. I felt very comfortable with the staff and people that worked in the office, and I knew they would keep on top of what I needed in order to complete each quarter.
