Overall Experience: My first year experience was not up to my expectations. My roommate never lived in the room, so I was alone for a majority of the year. I also didn't make many friends my first year, primarily because a lot of students came in already having friends from their high schools. I went to a small high school and only two people I knew went to my college. The college that I am attending now is also a small school, with a larger school right across the street, so it is difficult seeing all the school spirit from the football games and basketball games, when my school does not have that.

Overall Experience: Meredith College has amazing and fun traditions that keep the sisterhood together. As an all women's college, we are taught to be strong and independent women. Here, I have met some of the most intelligent and strong women ever. I know I will succeed here since the professors are so willing so help us and there are always opportunities to get help when you need some.

Scholarships: Filling out forms for my financial aid went pretty well, it's the waiting part that sucked. File your stuff early so that you're not waiting around toward the middle of summer to hear something.

Campus Food: The Bee Hive is great place to hang out and dine with your friends for lunch or in between classes.

Party Scene: You can go right across the street and go to parties everywhere! I don't party though!

Campus Food: It's awful! You get meal plan dollars so that's nice but the food is so repetitive and they do the weirdest stuff to it.

Campus Housing: If you're going to live on Meredith College campus, then you have got to live in Heilman your first year. Heilman Residence Hall has the nicest kitchens, best rooms for your freshman year, and spacious closets. I mean, who could ask for more?

Off-Campus Housing: There are a lot of different housing options in the area that are close to campus.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Meredith College is in a great location and there are a ton of off-campus dining selections to enjoy.

Administration: All of the rules that we have here are in place because of a reason and that's to keep us safe, so it's a good thing that our school is strict in enforcing our policies.

Party Scene: Honestly, I'm a fan of not having a ton of parties on my campus all the time. It allows me to focus on school work and to remember what I'm here for. Raleigh is a busy and eventful area, if you want to go party it won't be hard to find one.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The food in the Bee Hive is great but the BDH could use a little help. Sometimes they try to be a bit too fancy and try a lot of different foods, but all we really want are home cooked meals like our moms make.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Residence halls are clean and spacious and have all of the amenities that makes living away from home an easier and more enjoyable experience!

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: However, a lot of girls choose to stay on campus in our apartments- no boy hours or anything like that, and they're safer and more convenient.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: We're in the great city of Raleigh- from the waffle house across the street to the fancier places downtown, there's a huge amount of choices.

Administration: The administration is great, but their policies regarding boy hours and whatnot are kind of dated.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: They're really great at working with you and finding you areas to both earn scholarships and save

Party Scene: I mean, it's an all women's college. What do you expect?

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The food and recipes are provided by an outside company, and the dining hall cannot deviate from it. Overall the hours of the dining hall are pretty inconvenient- 7:30-7:30 on weekdays, and cereal is the only thing avaliable in between meal times. Weekends in the dining hall are a joke, as most of the day it's locked and is completely closed down by 6:30. The food during meal times isn't bad though

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Dorms are definitely above average size compared to any other school I've seen. There is plenty of built in storage, but the beds in the freshman dorms (excluding Faircloth) are similar to a pull out couch and a little inconvenient and annoying because you can't add a mattress pad.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Don't hear about the sports much.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Dorms are kind of old.

4 College Freshman

Local Area: There's a lot of stuff to do.
