2 College Senior

Parking: Parking is extremely limited. If you arrive any later than 10 AM on weekdays, you'll have to park at the far end of campus. The good news is that's only a 5 minute walk to anywhere on campus, so it's not too bad.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: parking situation at your school is ok

3 College Freshman

Parking: Parking is actually free, so that's a plus. The classes and all are not too far away, so it's good.

3 College Freshman

Parking: I don't have a car, but parking is extremely challenging from what I hear because spots get taken up quickly.

4 College Freshman

Parking: Parking gets filled up by 11, so if you have a class leave early to find a space.

One of Mercer’s biggest shortcomings is parking. A new parking lot is currently being built to help supplement the growing parking problem, but the location of the lot is inconvenient. Mercer has a number of parking lots, but many are simply not large enough to support the student body’s needs. Luckily, the campus is fairly small, so even if you are forced to park in the lot that is the farthest from your destination, you will only have to suffer a 5- to 10-minute walk. Generally, parking is the worst on Sunday nights and the best on Fridays and Saturdays.

Parking lots are divided into color-coded zones that match parking decals. The decals are free, and a new decal must be obtained each year from the Mercer Police Department. If you park illegally, the Mercer Police has the authorization to write up a citation or ticket.
