Campus Food

3 College Student

Campus Food: i will suggest that the cafeteria have variety of food

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The caf and the food court is very limited on the weekends. The quality during the week is poor but at least it is edible especially since they've been introducing more healthy options this year.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Caf is alright. Not a lot of options, but it's usually fine. UC is great!

2 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The food in the cafe is poor except for lunch on wednesday and friday. Other than that breakfast is fine but dinner is never exceptionally good unless its pizza or off the grill. Additionally their vegetarian options are not as available as they promote.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: Decent food. Not the best though, but not too expensive for a private school.

Due to Mercer’s small size, there are only two real dining options on campus: the FFC cafeteria and the UC Food Court. The limited options for food can inevitably get repetitive; however, there are several off-campus dining options that are literally next door to campus, which helps to counteract Mercer’s small selection. Unfortunately, another con to Mercer dining is that there are not many truly healthy or vegetarian/kosher meals available on campus.

There are six meal plan options for Mercer students. Freshmen are required to get the Unlimited Meal Membership, which is the priciest of all the plans and amounts to unlimited meals all semester long at the FFC. After freshman year, there are more options available. Block plans tend to be the most popular—they provide 40, 85, or 120 total meals at the FFC per semester, plus dining dollars, which can be used at the UC Food Court. There are also two meal plans that offer 10 or 14 meals a week. Since upperclassman apartments have kitchens, many older students choose not to purchase a meal plan. Students without meal plans can still purchase food from both the FFC or the UC Food Court by paying cash, but this is not a popular option as it is somewhat expensive.
