4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Class sizes are usually 15 or less, the professors all really do care. I have no real complaints.

5 College Junior

Health & Safety: I have no further comments, to my knowledge not a single security problem got out of hand in my 2 years here.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: I personally enjoy it, having that separation from home has been terrific and I've loved it. Meeting new people a lot more than just in class. Though the prices (as it is a private school) are a bit ridiculous.

Greek Life: We have a very small Greek life on campus, the only common one is Alpha Psi Omega, and common is a relative term. Next year we're going to have 6 students in the fraternity.

Greek Life: We do not have greek life

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I have learned to love and enjoy college

Overall Experience: McPherson College is a small campus which is nice with a lot of diversity. I have had the opportunity to meet all sorts of people and learn about different cultures at the same time as my roommate is from London, England. I have made so many new friends and while there are times where I miss home, I wouldn't change my college decision because of the people I have got to know.

Athletics: Just like every other campus or institution, if your winning you have a crowd but if your loosing you only have your team cheering you on. Campus life is pretty big, the town is at every game win or lose. The school can use a lot more spirit and involvement. Team performances are about average just depending on who is recruited and who is coach-able. The city also donates a bunch to the college, while many of the college teams do community service hours to help the town grow.

Every student on campur or off-campus is allowed to use facilities including the basketball gym and the weight room.

Off-Campus Housing: The city is mall so all off campus living is right around each corner. This makes transportation to school and parts of the city much more easier then those on bigger campuses.

Off-Campus Dining: The city is very small so you cant expect for companies to expand in such a small area. The places are great and also cheap. You have your cheap burgers like Wendy's and McDonald's. There is a few Chinese restaurants, a Freddy's custards, 3 Mexican restaurants, 2 Subways, a few BBQ spots, Pizza Hut, Little Ceasers, and a few small personal owned restaurants.

Some of these places also give student discounts or student meals

You can get a good amount of food for about $6 , also plenty of your friends will find jobs at these places where you might get lucky and receive free food at times.

Administration: Its really strict, the RA's do a great job making sure there is no drug or alcohol use on campus. All violations are also very expensive and can lead to being expelled quickly.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Personally the school is very expensive. We never know where the tuition money goes because the halls and cafeteria need a bunch of upgrading. The best part of the school is the size, you can actually focus on academics and get the help from professors who also guide you to be successful.

Tuition is more expensive then bigger state schools

Party Scene: There are no parties here at the college. Off- campus parties hardly ever happen also. Maybe two or three parties and these parties are really small.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Food: If you do the math, a meal a day at the college is about $9. The food is uncooked at times and has no flavor or taste. Breakfast is the same thing on the menu every day. Sometimes you can even taste the re-use flavor of the food. For example, one day they will make chicken strips then the next day you will have chicken strips with marinara sauce. You then know the food is re used. I would rate the food here a 4.5 out of 10.

Campus Housing: Campus life is below average, there is not much to do here other then be a part of a club. The school size is really small whioch gives a student a better chance to focus on academics and finish school. Classroom sizes are smaller then those compared to bigger colleges which makes everything a lot more easier. Dorm life at McPherson is not as spacious, Metzler Hall is the all male hall. Consists of 3 floors, 1 kitchen on the first floor that we must all share and keep clean, each floor has there own restroom hall that is also shared by that floor. Morrison is the Auto Hall for the majors in Auto restoration usually, the most comfortable and newest hall, Bittinger is the all female hall. Dotzour is the co-ed men and female hall.

The cafeteria is a little crammed at times, the food is good maybe twice a week. You can taste the re-use food the best part of it would be the staff. The cafeteria staff is really friendly. Depending o what you decide to eat dictates if it is good or not. It includes a Pizza bar, salad bar, fruit bar, dessert area, ice cream machine, and your hot food table.

McPherson also includes a very friendly community that supports there high school and college sports. The staff here at the college as a whole is large. They are very helpful and respectful. Every problem or question I've had has been answered by one of the school representatives. The president of the school is also very friendly and helpful.

McPherson College also has a great span in sports. Each year you meet people from different states and countries who come here chasing the same dream as most of us. The coaches and staff are really friendly and helpful. I enjoy the help of the coaches after hours this includes wanting to get in the gym after hours a staff member will open it for you and allow you to work out.

Off-Campus Housing: I live off campus with relatives, easiest way to try and save a little bit of money.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus dining options are mainly fast food chain restaurants and there is not much diversity.

3 College Junior

Administration: There is not really a need for transportation, most students ride skateboards, walk, and bike.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Parking spots are available all around campus just have to know where to look.

4 College Junior

Party Scene: The labs are always available to use and the tech guys are always very willing to help.

1 College Junior

Campus Food: Very inconsistent with the food and food is reused way too often.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There have not really been any major campus crime this year. I feel that I can walk around campus in the dark and be perfectly fine, I do not have a worry about feeling unsafe. Special security measures include all doors to the dorms are locked at all times.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The best dorm to live in would be Bittinger or Morrison based on spaciousness. The rooms are decent sized and there is not a ridiculous amount of people who live in the dorms. The worst dorm to live in is Metzler. The whole dorm has a strange smell to it, their rooms are small, there are a lot more people crammed into one dorm, and getting to the common house hold amenities is difficult. In the dorms there are washers and dryers that are coin operated. There is a common kitchen for everyone to share, including a stove, microwave, toaster, sink, fridge, and so on. The social atmosphere is a good one, the people are friendly and not ridiculously loud. Living on campus is not crazy expensive but it would be nice if it were cheaper. All of the dorms on campus are within a five minute walk to any of the classes, which is convenient.

2 College Freshman

Greek Life: We do not have any Greek life as far as I know. I have not heard of any.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are many fast food restaurants that surround us off campus. Late night, and during the day. Not a lot of healthey options but everything is pretty much in a college students budget.
