3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Really hard to graduate on time when the classes you need are full and there is only one section or they are taught at the same time.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: The campus cops are always driving around or walking around. There are telephone places on campus you can use if you don't feel safe while walking at night. I have used it once and they were there within seconds, it's a safe environment.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: I live in an apartment on campus and it's very convenient. It's a short walk to all of my classes. My apartment came fully furnished, which made the moving in experience so much easier. The random selection of roommates worked great in my favor. I submitted my paper of what I do and my interests, and my roommates and I are the perfect match. Love living on campus and all the activities the RCs provide!

4 College Junior

Athletics: The REC is a great place to hang out with your friends and work out. The indoor track is perfect for those who don't like to run outside. There is plenty of machines for all the students. My favorite part about the athletic facility is the free classes they provide. It's the perfect study break, and always has me come out of my shell to socialize with those around me. Yoga is personally my favorite class they provide!

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I absolutely love how friendly everyone is here on campus. It is a very small campus so you see your professors everywhere and they always smile and wave. The clubs on campus host great events that are very interactive and connectable to all students. I would choose this school over and over again, the administration makes McNeese feel like home to me. I wouldn't change going to this school for anything!

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I will not say that every course is easy or a breeze because at McNeese, the teachers and instructors want to challenge you to be the best in your field. It truly is excellence with a personal touch. They are always available to help and make you feel at home while preparing you for the real world. The amount of courses may be small due to all the budget cuts from the state but little ole McNeese has done its best to ensure a quality education to compete in the working world.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: This campus really surprised me in the careers options field. It has career workshops many times during the semester where employers come to college and show us the types of jobs we can have with the degrees we are working so diligently to receive. It makes the late night studying that much more worth it knowing that our college wants us to succeed and find jobs to contribute to our community.

Health & Safety: We have campus police that are located at an easily accessible location. There are also alert stations all over the campus that can be activated to alert authorities at a moments notice by press of a button. The campus police also monitor the surrounding areas of campus to make sure that students living near campus also feel safe. It is a safe place to be

Campus Housing: I do not live on campus but some of my friends do and from what I see the dorms are not perfect but they are a Somewhat like home

5 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Being a Greek organization myself makes it a very easy topics to talk about. I love the way that we have Greek unity and families with letters. We are a small school that is mostly commuter but we still live and breathe campus and Greek

Athletics: School spirit starts with athletics. It draws the campus together and really makes us feel at home. The teams are good and the places we go to are home. It's everything we need to support our team!

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It may not be the biggest college on the state or the highest rating for academics, but it is home. It's small enough where you walk on campus and see someone you know but big enough to be able to meet someone new everyday. It's not just a campus but a home. I'm proud to be a Poke and would choose this route over and over.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I have only had one problem with any of my professors.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There is always cop/armed forces recruites in the student union.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: There are very few crimes on campus. The campus police station is located right next to campus and has a special hotline that is open 24/7.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I lived in Collette Hall, it was the cheapest dorm room and it was still not worth the price. The other dorms are a lot better but over priced. The meal plan is also too high.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I personally do not like Greek life. I do not like to pay for friends.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: The intermeral sports were my favorite. I loved going to the games and watching friendly competitions.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The school is smaller than most others around south Louisiana. This helps getting around and getting close with the teachers on an educational level.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I love the housing complexes!

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I think that Greek Life at McNeese State is great but I would never be interested in it.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Sports complexes are amazing but varsity teams aren't that good--as far as winning.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I absolutely love thid school; so amazing.
