Party Scene: I was an introvert who worked and stayed in my room. I am not the best for this topic. Sorry.

Scholarships: The process takes place in many buildings on campus. For first semester freshmen, and often really after, the process will lead you all over the place. The staff that were familiar with the process were incredibly helpful, however many of them were unaware of paperwork and so you would be led to several buildings and offices for a piece of information. It was a hassle but it was not impossible to maneuver. Best advice would be to have a friend tough out the adventure with you, if for no other reason than emotional support.

Campus Food: The cafeteria is, well, a cafeteria and therefore the food is not as spectacular as any of the smaller food stops which make your meal for you at the moment you order. This cafeteria had fantastic days where they served full meals, and fresh fruit; other days there would be no bread and stale rice served. Thankfully, on those off days, there were other options. My only other critique would be timing; residents would find themselves fighting their schedule and dining times often enough, and many of us found it annoying.

Campus Housing: The housing process and staff were the most difficult part of campus residency. Much of the problem was from the methods in place for payment, scheduling, and so forth. The overall experience and ease of access absolutely offset the negatives. The dorms had a great establishment for both introverts and extroverts, the campus active and passive student. Residing on campus is a must as a college student, and this experience helped cultivate social skills and my overall college experience.

Greek Life: Depending on the organization you're a part of, the Greek life is a great part of the community. Most of the sororities help foundations such as the Make A Wish foundation. I am not familiar with fraternities other than the parties they throw.

Athletics: The athletics at McNeese are fairly good. We have a huge wellness room, which is a gym, that is available to students for free. Our school spirit is good and students love to attend sports events and cheer the cowboys on.

Off-Campus Housing: I am not very familiar with off-campus housing because I have not experience that.

Off-Campus Dining: Off-campus dining near school is easy to access. There are a few fast food places, but they don't have many healthy choices. There are student centers like the Newman club, The Wesley, The PCE, and the BCM that off free lunches or paid lunches. They are convenient and have home cooked food that is very good. I haven't tried to use student discounts but I don't think they places around school have that choice.

Scholarships: The financial aid process is fairly easy. All you have to do is fill out your FAFSA form and it's mostly taken care of. The financial aid office workers are rude and usually act like the student should already know the answers to the questions they ask.

Party Scene: I don't necessarily engage in the party life as much as I used to because studying consumes my life, but when I did they were fun. They usually have parties somewhere every weekend and even sometimes on week days. They usually take place at apartments near campus where students live alone or with a roommate. I think parties are good to get stress out but they are also a huge distraction to studying habits.

Campus Food: I don't usually buy food on campus because it's pretty expensive. There have been times that I do get lunch there and the food is very good. There are a lot of choices including Einstein's, the cafeteria, and sometimes free meals that certain organizations give out. There are healthy and unhealthy choices in the cafeteria, I try to stray from the unhealthy ones. I don't have a meal plan because I don't live on campus but if I did, I would be eating at school a lot more.

Off-Campus Housing: there is lots of variety. Cost can be reasonable for some properties. And the safety can sometimes be an issue.

Off-Campus Dining: They have some great options off campus for dining. Cost is reasonable and there is a great variety.

Administration: Campus strictness is average and enforced for the safety of all students not just to stop the fun.

4 College Student

Scholarships: The process for getting approved for financial aid was quick and easy. My tip would be to apply early.

3 College Student

Party Scene: Most of the parties are great. Some of the party invites are based on cliques. The best parties revolve around our football games.

Campus Food: Very good dining atmosphere. Mostly great tasting foods. And the smell always draws you in.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I feel extremely safe on my campus. If there is something going on in the area the university police alerts us right away by text message and email to inform us of danger.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I think it really is the school for me. It is in a convenient location, it is affordable, and it is challenging.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The career center is super helpful and the school hosts several job fairs in order to help students get recruited. There are also many intern and extern programs for students.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Class sizes are sometimes big but not too big. Many of the professors are super nice and helpful. And they really know their stuff.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: We have a great team. They are hardworking and dedicated. Very many students and other people in the community attend the games.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: I don't know much about many of the school policies.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The financial aid process is easy and if you need help you can get assistance.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Athletics is a major part of the school.
