College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have not had the opportunity to discuss transferring credits.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The professors are very good at helping me understand each topic. For certain classes the professor provides good feedback on papers and projects.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Most professors follow the same teaching style which is helpful in understanding each class subject. The size of the classes are about the same as a high school class, so it is easier to interact with peers and not as nerve-wracking to present a project.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The value of a degree a student would get is the same as if a student went to a four year university. There are jobs through the school that you can get and the employer works around your class schedule so that you can attend class and have time to study for each class.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: The online courses mainly rely on quizzes and student interaction. The student interaction comes from the online discussions that the professors have to bring a grade to class participation.

4 College Junior

Student Body: The student body is accepting towards students of different ethnicity, economic status, political views, religious beliefs, and sexual orientation. There are several different clubs regarding the diversity in the student body.

4 College Junior

College Junior

Career Services: I have not had the opportunity to take advantage of the post-grad services.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: The workload is doable, with the classes they each overlap in certain topics that makes it easier to understand and apply to each class.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: The professors are very helpful in making sure every student understands the topics we are discussing. Each professor has office hours in which students can talk to the professors and clarify the subjects they did not understand in class.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The school has an excellent tutoring center where students are tutored by other students who excel in the subject or teachers of the subject.

Academic Flexibility: Figuring out which classes transfer is a hassle. Most classes are pretty flexible, but some aren't offered at very many times or different teachers.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: MCC is overall a pretty decent school. The education is good for a low cost, everyone is friendly, and there are a lot of different types of opportunities for students. If I had to do it all over again, I would still go to MCC because that's all I can afford, but I would have preferred to go to a larger school because for me, there is not much of a social aspect to my college life.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: Courses are good and always outlined clearly. I always know what to expect. Professors are helpful and class sizes are always small enough so that the teachers are familiar with their students and can interact with individuals.

College Senior

Overall Experience: I have not utilized any career service or interacted with and recruiting employers, although I do know that the school has a few job fairs throughout the year open to students.

College Senior

Online Courses: I have not taken an online class through MCC.

3 College Senior

Student Body: I'd say that MCC is pretty diverse and accepting. The school makes a point of advertising all clubs and organizations which promote various ethnic, economic, political, religious, and sexual backgrounds as to make everyone feel accepted.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is cheap and there are a variety of classes offered. It's the least expensive, and in my opinion, best option for getting started in your college career. Some classes don't transfer to some universities, but advisors work well with students to plan schedules that align with future plans. Financial aid is available and scholarships are offered through the school which lowers tuition even more. They are easy to apply for and available to all students.

4 College Senior

Career Services: I am honestly not familiar with the career center or job prospects offered through MCC.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: The registration process at MCC is easy and the people who work in registration are always very helpful and efficient. There are also several special study options, including many study abroad opportunities and a great culinary program.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: There are a variety of program options to chose from at MCC. Workload depends on what type of classes you are taking and what teachers you are taking them with but I haven't had a problem with any of the curriculums. MCC also has a ton of job opportunities that they promote through job fairs and a community board were job offers are posted.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: MCC is overall a pretty nice community college. I love the library, the SAGE tutoring center is great, and there are many clubs and activities that are available for students to join. Student life always has something going on campus.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I have not had any problems transferring my credits to Augustana College. They have granted me all credits except MCC 101 which is to be expected.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: MCC was a great transition from high school for me. I was undecided what I should major in and MCC help me decide through the different courses I took my first year. I enjoyed my geology professor Mr. Stahmann he made the class more exciting.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Class sizes are nice, professors know your name and are available to talk with after class. Variety of course offered are very good, I have always found what I have needed to complete my degree.
