5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I was only at mcc monday- thursday which was great and only from 10-2 which is short and i loved it. I just recently transferred my credits and they all transferred which is a great feeling!

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I had an amazing time at MCC and I wish i could attend it for four years. I advise so many people to go to a 2 year first its so much more helpful and you don't feel so rushed and you can take your time ask as many questions as you want. Everyone will work with you. no one will let you down.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I had an amazing time only as a freshmen. Sometimes i don't understand why people pay for school then dont show up. its really not worth missing. I love coming to school exspecially with the amazing professors here at MCC.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: They have alot of career classes to take its really im telling you a oppurtunity you dont want to miss.

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: When i was pregnant and then had my child I had to take an online class and I still missed alot of assignments due, due to taking care of my child and the instructor worked with me every single time i was behind. everyone at mchenry county college wants you to succeed and will help you.

4 College Freshman

Student Body: Every student body is different. Mchenry county college is just the type of college where you go for class and leave its not the type where you hangout with friends and do whatever everyone comes here first then transfers.

Tuition & Financial Aid: My schools tutition was paid for by my finanical aid which was so great! I got to buy books with my extra money and eat on campus. Their very generous! Definitely apply for finanical aid.

5 College Freshman

Career Services: has so many career options its unbelievable I feel alot of students dont take action to it, but they definitely should its very helpful. and they do have alot of jobs that work with your major.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I love being able to push towards a major that I feel i am great at. the curriculum is great! ive done an internship and fell in love with my major even more.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I was in a program called connect 2 and I was only with 12 students for two semesters and we all took the same classes at the same time every day with the same professor and i loved it.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Very friendly, will work with you to help get what you want.

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: Aside from an issue with my clinicals in CNA class everything has been easy to schedule around work and family

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: For a two-year it is a great school, for myself it would have been much easier if I had just gone straight into a four-year school

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: While i have had a few bad professors most were intelligent and enjoyed teaching

2 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I will not get a degree from this school. For the major I want a two year degree is nearly useless

4 College Freshman

Student Body: I have found friends that are like me and that I enjoy spending time with. I can talk with them about numerous different topics and most will be at least open to listen to different opinions.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: Well for tuition that was less than one year in my high school I would say they are doing a decent job

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The good thing about this school is that all class sizes are small so you can have more one on one time with the teacher and better in class discussions/participation (does depend on students as well). The downside is that there are some teachers who cannot teach for the life of them but the school wont/cant fire them. Workload is easy but then again I came from a private school so I might not be the best judge, and most of the teachers love what they teach.

College Freshman

Academic Experience: I am only taking the gen-eds here before I transfer to a 4 year college.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The library is small but it is a small school so that is expected. The internet (wifi and computer labs) is slow and the computers in the lab take forever to turn on and load.

College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have not had the opportunity to discuss transferring credits.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The professors are very good at helping me understand each topic. For certain classes the professor provides good feedback on papers and projects.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Most professors follow the same teaching style which is helpful in understanding each class subject. The size of the classes are about the same as a high school class, so it is easier to interact with peers and not as nerve-wracking to present a project.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The value of a degree a student would get is the same as if a student went to a four year university. There are jobs through the school that you can get and the employer works around your class schedule so that you can attend class and have time to study for each class.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: The online courses mainly rely on quizzes and student interaction. The student interaction comes from the online discussions that the professors have to bring a grade to class participation.
