Overall Experience: I really enjoy the campus events helduring for students. They are a great way to help relieve stress. Many teachers are great easy to get along with and go out their way to help students. And there are many student organizations. I found myself deeply invested in several, and an glad that I participated in them.

Overall Experience: Although I wasn't able to study the major I wanted (Architecture), I have found my calling through Art with a Specialization in Graphic Design. I look forward to Architecture in Graduate school and love the small class sizes and many other thing offered by the school, especially the financial aid.

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of great local chains to eat at, lots of choices.

Party Scene: Compared to the big schools, this school doesnt stand a chance. The parties are in crowded apartments, any good parties are made worst by overcrowding, not many parties are hosted at houses.

Campus Food: You cant really say any college food at the dining hall is good.

Campus Housing: Freshman housing is really good, elevators, nice sized rooms, but everything after that is old and not updated, expect for the apartments which are mainly for seniors that are fairly nice.

1 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Just don't even bother. There aren't any houses off campus that are safe to stay it. It's safer to stay on campus. You aren't allowed to move off campus until your senior year either, and by that time you have enough seniority to snag an apartment with a kitchen on campus. It simply isn't worth the hassle or the extra cost or the extra distance.

Off-Campus Dining: Down the main street, within walking distance, there are about three or four places to eat. Only one of them is really worth mentioning because the other three are what I would consider "parents pay for when they visit" restaurants. The Cup is fairly affordable, and provides a clean atmosphere with delicious tea and sandwiches. None of the restaurants have discounts though. The Cup occasionally offers promotions, but that's it.

Down the main highway through town, if you have a car, you can get to fast-food, Denny's, froyo, Friendly's, and other dining areas. NO DISCOUNTS THERE. So, negative points for convenience and discounts. Basically the options are fairly standard with nothing special (especially for you picky vegans) and no discounts.

Administration: First: campus safety is awesome. They are all incredibly nice and will talk to you and tell you stories all of the time. They have to do their jobs, but they go about it as nicely and firmly as they can. In the end, if you're being an idiot about underage drinking, blatant drug use, noise violations, then you deserve to be cited. It's all about mutual respect.

Officeof ResLife is pretty much on par with Campus Safety. The director is pretty cool. This past semester, I had a falling out with my roommate, and he got her out and into a different room with a new roommate within two weeks (which is a pretty fast turnaround, considering the lengthy process). If you email him about wanting to start a club, you just need to fill out a form and have enough members to start the club. A Magic the Gathering club was started earlier this year by doing that, and they're having a blast. The Office of ResLife is overall very helpful and accommodating to students. They provide a lot of varied events for you to go to, at all different hours of the day, so that you are accommodated.

Scholarships: McDaniel provided me with a lot of financial aid. Actually, when I originally received my financial aid letter, there was about $5,000 that wasn't covered from the full cost. I emailed the director of aid and explained to her that I was an independent student and neither of my parents had good enough credit to take out a loan, and she found another $4,000 for me to have. So I work under federal work study and full time in the summers and pay the remaining $1,000. Jobs on campus are awesome, by the way. I work for the Call Center and asa Writing Tutor, and it rocks.

I have heard multiple stories as well, where students get better financial aid at another school but they want to go to McDaniel, and they email Financial Aid with the aid from the other college, and McDaniel matches it. If they want you, they make a point to make the effort to get you to come here.

Party Scene: Partying on campus is pretty safe, which is important. Campus safety knows that you are out getting your freak on, and if you aren't bothering anyone or just trying to get home safely with a sober friend, they won't cite you. That doesn't mean that they don't bust underage parties though. They are nice enough about it when it happens. The best parties happen at Bachelors' and at the Lacrosse house. Those boys party until the early hours, and they are better than most at keeping people in line.

Party quality: standard. It's college, house parties are house parties. Bring your own booze, no means no, sweaty grinding. It's all here. You aren't likely to find a party every night of the week though. Mainly Friday and Saturday nights, because people here generally do their work the other five nights of the week.

Side note: it's hard to find attractive people here.

Campus Food: Some days, Glar has tasty(ish) food, and other days you enter the dining hall and you just sigh. They try to provide varied meal options and have theme nights, which is very nice, but it doesn't change the fact that Sodexo is not that great of a meal provider. The calorie counts for each food item is usually displayed right alongside the item, which is super helpful if you are trying to lose or maintain weight. The Pub is good for late-night munchies, but isn't much high quality than Glar. If anything, the fries are better than Glar's fries. There is a coffee shop that pretends to be a Starbucks, but the workers don't know a lot about coffee and the drinks are just a lot of concentrates and burnt coffee at Starbucks price.

Campus Housing: Freshman dorms are disastrous; go for a kitchen!

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: It's a good treat to go to a nicer restaurant on East Main Street when your parents come to visit. There are also a lot of fast food restaurants. Denny's is a saturday night staple.

3 College Junior

Administration: Campo is here to make you safe, not to get you in trouble- Same goes with Resident assistants.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Mcdaniel is very generous with their scholarships as long as you worked hard in high school!

4 College Junior

Party Scene: Parties are what you make of it, if you are with your friends you'll have a great time.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: Ms. Bobby's salads are pretty good and she has her own homemade dressings which are great! Everyone seems to love chicken tender thursday and mongolian grill. We have a gluten free section which always has healthy food. Most of the time though I see the food is bland and dry.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Depending on your class and your luck, you can either have a great and spacious room or no air condition and a closet. Freshman dorms are prettty nice, and depending on your luck, DMC rooms can be pretty spacious, and fortunately have AC. The worst dorm by far is McDaniel Hall- old, small, and unairconditioned...also no elevator! The apartments are by far the best for parties and getting a great spot with your friends.

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Tons of financial aid and scholarships are available.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Some sports and coaches better than others. Football is very popular even the team is horrible.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: They offer anything you can think of and are alway helpful.

1 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Westminster is not a very nice neighborhood so I would not recommend going off campus. Lots of drugs and shootings

3 College Sophomore

Administration: Some administration is very nice and others don't want anything to do with you
