4 College Sophomore

Local Area: The atmosphere is in a moderate sized city with many near by attractions.

4 College Junior

Local Area: Maryville is close to the city of St.louis which has a lot to offer, from spas, coffee shops, museums, and clubs. the down fall is that the school is located in one of the richer suburbs of St.louis so the prices at the local stores are higher.

The atmosphere at Maryville is phenomenal. There is always something to do around the University. It's a very close community setting with a lot activities around campus. The local atmosphere is radiant, from the beautiful trees to the blooming flowers, the sounds of the flamboyant geese to the crisp fresh air. In the area near Maryville, you’ll find lots of beautiful parks.

If you can't find something around the University, going downtown is your best bet. It's only 20 minutes from campus and has tons of family-oriented activities and events. There are many downtown attractions, such as Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals. Other spots include the City Museum, the Zoo, Science Center, and the Art and History museums. A lot the museums and exhibits are free, so that is an extra bonus. The best areas for entertainment are the Delmar Loop, Forest Park, Westport Plaza, Central West End, and Soulard, and these areas make up a large portion of St. Louis.
