Advice on Finding a Job/Internship
  • At Marlboro, there is a course offered called, "Finding an Internship." It is offered every semester, and it is part of the World Studies Program (a degree option that requires the course). Anyone can take it, and it proves very helpful in locating and executing a plan of study in the "real world" job market.
  • The associate dean of students is another great resource for internship advice.
  • Write to people you would be interested in working with, professionals in your assumed field of study, and ask if they offer internships. Then, send a letter of intent, a résumé, and any other necessary documents. You'd be amazed at how many companies and professionals have a budget to accommodate college students.
