4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The student life center is great. There is a lot of things a student can get involved in. The clubs are also very diverse. You can get involved in anything from acting in a play to joining the international club.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: teacher goes off topic a lot

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: like a college trying to become a university

2 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: doesn't accept credit card except through website

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: pretty good for my backup choice

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: Everyone is so nice and friendly

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: So far everything has been pretty good. The only frustrating things is Finacial Aid and their availibilty, not having the time for student activities, and not being able to always get the classes I want or need.

Campus Quality: All of the facilities are great at Macon State. All of their housing is gorgeous and very accesible. Especially at the Macon Campus the building are very well kept and have beautiful outside landscaping.

4 College Freshman

Career Services: Macon State has the best Nursing program. I am able to finish my degree in four years, two years of core and two years of the program.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The resources are really great especially outside of the classroom. Students have unlimited printing and full access to computers in the ARC but not all the time in classrooms.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Overall I think the network is reliable. It may not be the fastest but it still does what it is suppose to do.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tution is great because it is a very fair price. Financial Aid on the other hand to me is horrible. They never answer their phones and most of the time do not seem willing to help.

3 College Freshman

Online Courses: I have not taken an online class so I really do not know. All i know is that my best friend is taken one right now and said that it was just a lot of work.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Macon State College is very well known for their nursing program. It may be a lot of work, but I know all the professors are doing is helping us to get full prepared for our future careers. I know that in the end it will be all worth it.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Most of the academics are great. Some of the teachers are not will or good at teaching at all but for the most part Macon State has a good academic program.

4 College Freshman

Student Body: I am in my first year college so I not been able to meet that many people. Overall though, I have had great experiences meeting people. Most everyone is very friendly and wants to get to know you. Even if it is a short conversation, everyone is is freely willing to talk. Sometimes it is hard to go to school activities because of work but overall it has been great.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I actually love my school. It may not be the best for a lot of things, but it's where I'd like to go.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I've taken quite a few of online courses since I started college, and for the most part it seems dandy. However, it is unfortunate that they seem to not spend as much time as you need. When you ask them a question, they tend to become persnickety and aren't the best at explaining things outside of their lecture notes.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: I feel very out of place. A lot of the students there are from Macon, whereas I'm from a much smaller town. They aren't exactly friendly, but they aren't exactly rude either. Joining clubs is difficult because they're often persnickety. Sometimes, it comes off a lot like high school.

2 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I don't think the students should have to pay for activities they don't use. If they don't use the wellness center, they shouldn't be charged for it until they swipe their cards at the center.

1 College Sophomore

Career Services: There are no post-grad services available.

2 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The classes I need really interfere with everything. Even the online classes are ridiculous sometimes.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Same as every other school.

2 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: For a long time there were no specific advisers for the associate's program, or the students working on their core, it was really just them trying to find their way along without any guidance. As far as the program, it's very enjoyable and the workload is reasonable. Sometimes the pre-requisite classes require more than the actual major classes. So that's hard to determine. As far as the internship, there aren't any available.

4 College Junior

Student Body: At my school, you often see students forming study groups in the library. Some hang out outside, at Starbucks, in the cafeteria, ect. Student Life events really bring students together. Students love to hang out in the gameroom and watch TV, play pool, ping pong, ect. There is a lot of diversity as far as ethnicity, religion, sexual orientating, ect., and everyone seems to accept this diversity. People always stop and open the door for you. It's just a mellow, relaxing place.
