Party Scene: Their are a variety of parties to indulge in during the week and weekends

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: I am thoroughly satisfied with the party scene here

4 College Junior

Party Scene: There are plenty of parties to choose from most weekends, and since we're a small school, it's likely you will run into people you know fairly often. We have the option of Tulane parties as well, which are less personal but generally end up being pretty fun. The aspect of running into people you would never think to talk to outside of class / in social situations is very positive-- it's a fun way to expand your social circle naturally.

Party Scene: Greek life is great to be involved in for the party scene. There is always something going on at The Boot. The Palms and The Willow are popular college bars uptown. Stay in Uptown if you can help it! Downtown is for tourists.

A good portion of students do go out to area bars and clubs. Being in New Orleans and close to downtown, it is fairly easy to walk, or you can take the streetcar or pay for a taxi to get to one of these many places. There are some house parties on Broadway, but typically students go out to the bars and clubs.

Freshmen tend to try out The Boot as their first experience out but then venture out to other places. Some places will let underage students in as long as they wear a bracelet saying they are under 21, but some students go out and enjoy the other parts of New Orleans. If any stduent is out and does not feel safe coming home, he or she can call SafeRide to get an escorted ride home.
