There are no fraternities or sororities at Loyola, but the students here have a strong sense of community and belonging with each other, so Greek life is not missed and is strongly discouraged. Some students do choose to go out and party with local fraternities, specially at Johns Hopkins University, but many find that going out to bars is a great alternative to fraternity parties.

The students at Loyola do not miss having Greek life on campus. There are always plenty of events going on, such as sports games, optional trips, and Midnight Breakfast, and there is always plenty of shopping and other things to do in the Inner Harbor and around Baltimore.
