5 College Freshman

Campus Quality: Loyola is absolutely beautiful. There are so many green spaces and lawns to hang out on a nice day, and the buildings are all well kept and updated. The dorms are huge and some of the best in the country, and Loyola's athletic facilities are really great.

Campus Quality: The fitness and aquatic center or the FAC is Loyola's pride as it is a brand new facility that contains numerous activities for students. The quad is the green space, even if it is a little small, it is still a great spot to hang out. The library is the place to go if you need to study or get a paper done quickly with absolute silence.

Campus Quality: Everything at this campus is absolutely wonderful!!!

Campus Quality: Student Life on campus is very enjoyable. No problems with the facilities and the centers and hangout spots are very useful. There are many campus events to take part in and they do in fact make the time spent on campus more fun. There are so many campus activities to become involved in as well, and they make the school year active and rewarding.

Campus Quality: First, my school-Loyola University Maryland,-does something that is unique and very beneficial to the first year students. They have what is called the Ignatius Scholars Program, which is coordinated by the Directors of the ALANA services. The purpose of the program is to help first years become acclimated to campus life and what the school year entails. I was a member of the first year of the program and I can honestly say that it benefitted me to such a high degree. I owe a huge part of my success in college to the Ignatius Scholars Program. Campus life suited me well, I love my campus and all of the resources available to me. The Writing Center which helps students perfect their writing, even assists them in beginning an essay, outlining, brainstorming and much more. The Career center helps students with finding jobs, offering advice on their future, revising resume's and several other things. The social scene at my school is friendly and welcoming; I always felt at home on campus. My school is amazing, and I loved the time I got to spend there during the 2013-2014 school year.

The Fitness and Aquatic Center, commonly known as the FAC, is a gorgeous facility that Loyola is very proud of. It is very popular among students and faculty alike. There's a rock-climbing wall, a weight-lifting room, a few pools, a sauna, an indoor track, workout rooms for different fitness classes, and racquetball, basketball, and floor hockey courts. You can take any class that interests you, including yoga, Pilates, body pump, and water aerobics. During the first few weeks of each semester, the FAC offers these classes for free. This is a great time to try out many classes and decide which ones you like best. It is also a fun time to try out all that the FAC has to offer and make friends along the way— because everyone is there to work out, have fun, and meet new people, especially in these first few weeks. The pool at the FAC is also well known as one of the pools that Michael Phelps uses to train. Many students hope to see him one day while they are working out.

The campus itself is beautiful. The student center is a great place to do homework, chat with friends, or grab a coffee and something to eat. Boulder Garden Café in the student center is very popular among the students and has comfortable and abundant seating. There is also a sushi restaurant, Starbucks, and Red Mango located in this building. Students also love to sit on the porch of the humanities building, and in the nice weather the Quad is a popular place to sit and hang out with friends or do homework.

Favorite Things To Do
There is not very much to do on campus at Loyola-which seems to be the top student complaint. Going to the FAC to work out seems to be one of the most popular social activities. The only other real on-campus option is going to get food in one of the dining halls with your friends.
