4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Campus housing was wonderful freshmen year. The rooms in Flan are great. Butler and Hammerman are pretty disgusting though. Also- the roommate selection process needs some work. I ended up with a girl who was the most atrocious human being i've ever met. She was not intelligent, thinking that she could take Dayquil in order to stay awake when she was not ill. Also, she got kicked out, yet when I wanted to move, I was initially denied. I believe that they need to match people better. I do like Megan Rowe as a person, but she needs to come up with a better survey that doesn't match you with a girl who has major mental issues.

5 College Junior

Campus Housing: Loyola University Maryland's dorms are known for being the best! And after living in them for two years, I can tell you they really are amazing and spacious. It really makes living away from home a lot easier.

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: The dorms have always been a good thing for me. Freshman year I was put into a forced quad meaning I shared one room with three roommates and thankfully they turned into 3 of my best friends. The university over-accepted that year and so students over-admitted therefore I understand why we were put in that situation. I have lived in an on campus apartment since then and I love having a kitchen and a bathroom for me and my other roommates. The best options for freshmen are the freshmen dorms (Flannery, Hammerman and Butler). Sophomores for sure should live in Newman or Campion (close in proximity and Newman has Iggy's). Juniors tend to enjoy Newman as well but the other living areas like Seton and Southwell are good for Juniors as well because they are somewhat separate. Senior housing will always be a good thing - I would never want to live off of campus while in college.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Loyola's dorms are some of the best I saw in my entire college search. I believe they are closer to hotel rooms than the conventional dorm. They are incredibly roomy and provide many perks. They are exceptional in every aspect.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Housing is very good at Loyola. I stayed in Butler Hall which is an older building (my 50+ professor was the first class to have it) but it did the trick. I could control the A/C and heat which was not the case in the newer building, Flannery O'Conner. "Flan" was basically the quality of a hotel. It was very nice but as stated before you can't control the temperature so a fan was necessary.

Loyola is praised for its dorm-like palaces—all dorms have wall-to-wall carpeting, controllable air conditioning and heat, and Internet access for students who bring their own computers.

For at least three out of four of your years at Loyola (more if you're lucky), you will be living in a suite or apartment. These units have large closets—some even have walk-ins. They also have walk-in pantries, a dining room, living room, between one and four bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, and refrigerator.
