Academic Experience: I feel like the computer science program at my school is very good. It has knowledgeable teachers, that know the appropriate work load to put on the students. Nothing starts out too hard, and nothing ever ends too easy, so I feel that I'm actually accomplishing things by the end of every week. Accomplishing things in my intended area of study that is.

Overall Experience: They provide you with helpful tips and knowledge at the beginning, but after that, you have to actively seek help and advice. It would be better if you had someone who was required to ask you a few basic things every week like, "how is everything going?", or "Do you need help with any classes?". Overall, its a pretty great community college, but not for someone who is trying to forge out a new career in the big city.

Online Courses: Many students that aren't exactly great with computers have had troubles navigating Lower Columbia College's online systems. Students that are mildly familiar with navigating websites have had little to no problems at all.

Overall Experience: Lower Columbia College is great for nursing and automotive tech. However, if you have a specific interest in any other field, LCC mostly offers general prerequisites for students interested in transferring to a 4-year university. However, there are a number of business, criminal justice, and a few pre-law and pre-med courses, for example.

Overall Experience: Being a community college, a degree from Lower Columbia College is considered as highly as most other community colleges. If you live in the area, it is reputable. If you don't, LCC is about the same as any other college.

Academic Experience: Most instructors respond to emails promptly, and have reasonable office hours, allowing students ample time to get any remaining questions answered. Many instructors are adjunct faculty, so they can't be found on campus, but they still work hard to help as much as they can through email.
