Overall Experience: My overall experience at Louisiana Tech has been mostly positive. I admit there are still so many experiences I have yet to partake in at this university. Last year (my Freshman year) I was entirely focused on maintaining a high GPA and consequently, had little time for campus events or organizations. However, I can honestly say that in the few experiences I have had at Louisiana Tech, I never felt as if I was truly alone on this college journey. The instructors and professors I had were helpful, willing to answer my questions and always maintained their office hours. Campus resources such as the Writing Center and computer labs were extremely useful in completing assignments. The university is located roughly 30 minutes away from my home which allows me to skip college dorm expenses and maintain a sense of the familiar. Louisiana Tech is also very diverse and it never ceases to amaze me, in my travels across campus, how many different ethic identities I see represented or languages I catch in my ear. In the end, if I had the chance to redo my college search, I would not change my decision to attend Louisiana tech. It is true I have not seen or experienced everything my university has to offer. Nevertheless, what little I have seen or experienced has convinced me that no other institution could offer me the support, feeling of home, and diversity Louisiana Tech has given me.

Overall Experience: The housing/parking is terrible. The only thing good about the school is most of it's academic programs. Other than that, the campus need some upgrading.

Overall Experience: I love my school very much. The campus is beautiful, the people are friendly, and it's not hard to get lost. My orientation leader taught me a lot about my college and made me ready for my college experience even more. There is not a thing I would change about Louisiana Tech.

Overall Experience: Louisiana Tech University is a small school but not too small. The graduates seem to be successful. On average I am told that about 75% of Animal Science graduates get into Vet School. This is my longterm goal.

Overall Experience: I love Louisiana Tech so far because I feel very welcome and wanted on campus. The Student Leaders, and others, have gone out of their way to make sure I have everything I need. They have made the transition from high school to college much, much easier.

Overall Experience: My overall experience at Louisiana has been amazing. Sure there were moments that weren't that great but I still love my college. Even though I wouldn't change where I chose to go to school, I do wish I had visited more colleges and actually went through the process of picking a college the right way instead of which school was giving me the most money. The people are amazing and the activities are always plentiful

Off-Campus Housing: I am so happy I moved off campus. The Residential life made things more difficult than they needed to be at times and maintenance was always a hassle. You can get better living enviornments for cheaper and less hassle off campus

Party Scene: The greeks have parties, but I honestly have not been to a big party on campus, or heard of any that were worth going to. It is best to leave the town and go somewhere else. It is not a party school at all.

Off-Campus Dining: The town has many restaurants that feel like duplicates of the other restaurants. There is enough variety to make it an acceptable amount of choices, but unless fast food is something you enjoy, it is best to cook it yourself. The only ethinic restaurant I can think of is RAW, a sushi place.

Administration: I would classify our school as a fairly lenient with most things. However, one of the girl dorms is extremely strict and watches its residents.

Campus Food: Louisiana Tech is smaller than certain colleges, and the food choices reflect that. There is a small convenience store, Bene's pasta, Mccalisters, Chick-fil-a, burger studio, salad bar, cafeteria, Kick'n Cajun, Sushi, and sandwich area. This year the lambright gym got rid of counter culture yogurt and put in a sandwich shop. The cafeteria is cheap, but you get what you pay for, for it is usually "okay" quality at best. The other food options are overpriced. If you come from an area where you are used to having good food, do not expect to be impressed with the food options.

Campus Housing: The dorms on campus should be remodeled, but I don't see that happening in a year or so. The apartments are much better, but those types of apartments have already become standard living areas for students at other schools I have seen. It is not too hard to move off of campus since the influx of freshman have increased.

Party Scene: prepare to get ticketed or locked up by racist cops if you enjoy yourself after 11 pm.

Health & Safety: safety isn't really an issue on campus. Ruston is too strict.

Greek Life: Predominantly white Greeks have beautiful housing, and easy access to all the benefits on campus. Black Greeks get no benefits, no housing, and are clearly discriminated against on campus.

Athletics: Louisiana Tech Spends all of its over priced tuition on Athletics, even thought its a engineering school. If you are not a Football, basketball, or baseball player prepare to struggle and receive the butt-end of what all ruston has to offer.

Off-Campus Housing: Overly priced, poorly managed, old housing. also prepare to get robbed.

Administration: not to strict, only about drugs
