Need Based – The computer labs can run slowly sometimes. I'm not sure why. It's an inconvienient pain when there's testing going on and you want to use the computers. Therefore, sometimes a laptop is necessary. School computers are only used for "school -related" sites or research. Don't even think about going to facebook or twitter! The wireless access is cool and handy! Finally, the cost to print can be a little lower considering I'm paying student technology fees and most students are broke anyway.

There aren't any transportation options at my school. If you don't live on campus or have a car or both, it's going to be costly for you to get around New Orleans. You'll have to call a cab! The bus system isn't great in New Orleans ever since Hurrican Katrina. There are way fewer bus terminals to optimally get you around the city. Especially after five pm.

A Professional School – This school is a professional/grad school with only three undergraduate programs including nursing, respiratory and cardiovascular therapy, and medical technology. There's also dental hygients programs in the dental school. This school is also very selective. For any program, you should expect to interview, take an admissions test, fill out application with personal essay of some sort, and have stellar grades and recommendations. The school is a health science center with such schools as the medical school, dental, nursing, physical therapy, speech audiology, occupational therapy etc. professions among the mix.
