LSUA's motto is "Close to Home, Far from Ordinary." This school is a smaller school located in the heart of Alexandria, Louisiana. The academics are challenging; however the professors are interested in your education and success. Every year has brought new, various majors to this accomplished college! The college also has several talented sports teams, including baseball, softball, basketball, rugby, rodeo, and soccer (to name a few), with more teams being added every year. This school has around 3-4,000 students on campus which allows classes to have an intimate setting. Overall LSUA is an more than a college. This place and the people involved become your best of friends, your family, and references/contacts that will last a lifetime!

Personally, I rather take classroom courses instead of online courses because I keep more in track with face-to-face courses. However, I have taken online course at LSUA, and the class material was good. Even though, since it was my first time taking an online class, I had a little trouble at the beginning because of time management issues. However, I managed to fix my technique of study to succeed on the class!

The academic flexibility for me has been alright for this first half of year at LSUA. Classes get a little too hard sometimes, but I always manage it to succeed on class. Some classes are harder than others, but that does not make it impossible to make an A on that class; that is the case of calculus, a 5 credit hour class, it was tough, but not impossible to make an A. Some classes just require a bit more hard work!
