3 College Junior

Overall Experience at American River College: Decent campus and decent professors. Advisors are not much help you are better off doing your schedule yourself and doing your research of what you need.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience at Sacramento City College: It is very multi-cultural and everyone is very welcoming. No one feels like they don't belong.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience at Cosumnes River College: It was a daily routine when I would wake up, go to school, go back home, and sleep. Sometimes there are unexpected events like school events.

3 College Student

Overall Experience at Cosumnes River College: Overcrowding is a serious problem and often times, the wait to meet with a counselor is a bit of a let-down (like a two-hour wait for a 15-minute or less meeting).

4 College Senior

Overall Experience at Folsom Lake College: Although I don't meet many new friends at FLC, I have made a few new ones. Almost every teacher that I've taken has been helpful and kind beyond what is expected of a teacher. The campus isn't too big, but it still provides something bigger than my high school which will further prepare me for a university. If I started over, I think I'd choose FLC again; it's a nice school with a nice student body and environment.

Overall Experience at Cosumnes River College: Good school. Its a community college so not much to say about it but it gets you ready to transfer

Overall Experience at Cosumnes River College: The campus has improvements in its beauty, amenities and accessibility and parking. The staff are helpful and accommodating.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility at Cosumnes River College: The courses offered at my college range from physical classes to online class and are very flexible in terms of the amount of courses available to students with different time frames for them to choose. It is very decent in ease of transferring credits with it's course requirements for transferring colleges.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience at Cosumnes River College: Sometimes I like the quiet and tranquil culture that the college offers to students. There are many trees making it very naturalistic which accompanies the quietness that the college exhibits. However, if I had to choose, I would probably go into a state college just to avoid the years spent at community college.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience at Cosumnes River College: Professors are decent if students choose wisely according to ratemyprofessors.com. Many professors are nice and lenient in terms of workload and their style of teaching. Class sizes are decent in the low 30-40's and not overly-crowded.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience at Cosumnes River College: Very little publicity regarding career prospectors who are on campus to recruit. Not a lot of alumni returning for work opportunity but there are decent employers from respected companies who do come to recruiting events. The quality of career center seems average at best

3 College Senior

Online Courses at Cosumnes River College: The online courses offered here are typical and not too surprising. It's difficult to establish a professor/student relationship since communication is over online. It misses the interacting component, but that is common in every online class.

3 College Senior

Student Body at Cosumnes River College: The campus is filled with diversity. The student body comprises of many people from different backgrounds, but it does not seem to have a lot of international students from what I have seen, but rather, students residing in the immediate area. Everyone seems to have tolerance for one another and acceptance is casual if not mutual.

2 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid at Cosumnes River College: I do feel like the money I am paying for the courses aren't exactly equivalent for the lessons and learning experience I am getting from the courses. The retention for learning seems very limited and I don't really remember much after a take a class. The financial office is decent and fast, but like all other buildings and resources there's little publicity

3 College Senior

Career Services at Cosumnes River College: There are little publicity for transfer information, since most of the information lies at the career center. There seems to be little alumni presence, and job prospectors don't often appear on campus enough for the career center to publicize and promote for students.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience at Cosumnes River College: The specific major at my school is typical. Since my college is a community college most students are there for the transfer program, which is decent in helping students enroll into their desired graduate school. The workload is not too bad unless students overload on units or take courses that are heavily-intensive and if it's a 4 or 5-unit course that usually indicates that it may be a challenging course.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience at Cosumnes River College: The professors here at quite good and engaging, if students carefully choose their professors that is. The class registration process is not difficult, but there are bits of details that often make it confusing for freshmen college students. Curriculum coincide with the intended major of study but it all depends on the professor if he or she wishes to deviate a bit in terms of workload and covering subjects.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources at Cosumnes River College: Very quiet campus. Being in Cosumnes River College fills like a secondary high school after graduating. Not many resources and if there are it's not very publicized to the students.

3 Recent Alumnus

Online Courses at Sacramento City College: The online courses offered at Sacramento City College are very similar to the in class courses. In these classes, you watch lectures online and submit homework just as a student would in a regular class. There really is no difference except the lack of peer to peer interaction.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience at Sacramento City College: The school in question is a community college and is not very skilled towards any particular major. As for the general education classes offered, the school does a fair job at offering a variety of classes with small class sizes. The workload necessary to complete general education requirements needed to transfer is extremely doable. My schedule usually consisted of four to five courses which still left time for work, friends and extracurricular activities. Job opportunities/internships were not readily found at this particular university. Finally the facilities were clean and inviting.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience at Sacramento City College: At Sacramento City College, the professors were knowledgable and friendly. Classes offered were engaging and the curriculum was appropriate to the level of the class. The class registration process was a complete nightmare. Although the school offered great classes with caring and skilled professors, trying to get into classes took great skill and precision. Due to the small number of classes offered, an excellent registration date was a must to be enrolled. Without a top notch registration date, most students would end up waitlisted or not enrolled at all. To see students eager to learn not able to enroll in classes was heart breaking. Programs offered at the school were various clubs and financial/disabled student programs.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Flexibility at Sacramento City College: The convenience this school has offered me has been great. I had the ability to be both a full time student and a part time worker which was much appreciated.
