Overall Experience at Sacramento City College: The school is amazing. But like anything you go through loops trying to figure things out sometimes. If you wanna pursue something then really be for that goal..

Overall Experience at Cosumnes River College: If i could start all over i wouldn't do it any other way. The college that I'm at is a great learning experience and environment. Everybody is caring and helpful. There is lots of diversity and it makes community college feel like a local University.

Academic Experience at American River College: My teachers are all very intelligent and want to make sure you know the coursework. They provide only a very reasonable amount of work and keep the lectures interesting.

Overall Experience at American River College: While the financial aid process is slow and I have been given misinformation by the staff multiple times, the teachers are very understanding, interesting and helpful.

Academic Flexibility at American River College: My second semester at ARC, I had dropped a class that contained quite a number of units because the class was to difficult for me. I tried to fulfill those units with other classes, but failed to find any open or available. The one thing I strongly dislike about this college is that so many people enroll and I always get put on the waitlist for at least one class. I know I'm not the only student to experience this which means that more can relate when I claim that not being accepted into a class can really detriment a student's goal for how long they wish to remain at ARC. This is because some classes have prerequisites and delaying one class delays attending the intended class for a student's major. This is the reason I rate 3 out of 5 for academic flexibility.

Overall Experience at American River College: I have encountered amazing professors so far. Whether the class was big or small in numbers, I felt like it was easy to talk to each professor if I needed help with anything. I have liked most professor's teaching styles and it was easy to ace the ones I didn't like as well. American River College has really great professors on campus, but the only reason I found them was through ratemyprofessor.com. It's a really helpful website that gives the student a "pre"-first impression of the professor.

Overall Experience at American River College: I like the school, but not the waitlist.

Academic Flexibility at Folsom Lake College: I am in the process of transferring to a university.

Online Courses at Folsom Lake College: I would say most classes are very needy if you want an A. A lot of great professors in each subject, just make sure you do your research on them. Also the online, half semester, and summer classes are awesome if you want to get classes done with quick. The teachers usually do know you by name each semester and will remember you in the future. The students are friendly and some will want to make friends there, but there is also a good group that just come for the class and leave because the age group of the school varies from just out of high school to 30's, parents, and a few older folks that want to learn new things such as computer programs, etc.

Career Services at Folsom Lake College: I don't know much about these things, but the career center is pretty good here.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience at Folsom Lake College: There are really good professors and some bad ones, so just look out for those and do your research on the teachers. The classrooms are small about 20 - 40 students in each class on average. You will get to know some of the students and the teacher will know you by name, and usually are willing to help you with any needs you have even if you are a parent and have to leave early for your kids.

Overall Experience at Folsom Lake College: Career center is helpful. They have counselors from nearby universities come every now and then to talk and listen if you have any questions about their school. The career center also has tests you can do there to help figure out what your personality type is and gives you ideas of careers you would like.

Academic Experience at Folsom Lake College: I am Graduating from Folsom Lake with an AA in Arts and Humanities which was really fun to get. I enjoyed all of my art classes and speech classes. There are a lot of good Art teachers here, but be warned they require a lot of time and work outside of class.

Overall Experience at Folsom Lake College: I've been here for 3 1/2 years, I just got my AA. I say if you know what you want to do in school, go to a University right away. If you don't know what to do and you are not worried about time, go to Folsom Lake college. There are a great group of teachers here, but of course some awful ones I've run into here as well. If you talk to the dean they will help you with your needs. The counselors here are okay… I stopped seeing a counselor after 2 years (except for applying for my AA) and just got all the papers I needed from them to figure out what classes I needed to accomplish my educational goals because it was hard to see the same counselor every time and each one would tell me something different every time. The best counselor for transfer is Chris Clark and Camille Snow. Like a said, Folsom is good for saving money, exploring majors, and if you are not in a hurry to get school done.

Overall Experience at American River College: The quality of courses and professors is overall great. The class styles and sizes are acceptable. The variety of courses is good except that they don't offer a lot of spaces for some courses and they fill up fast.

Academic Flexibility at American River College: My experience at American River college so far has been smooth. I have a lot of programs, so it was hard trying to keep track and schedule everything. Other than that, I have had an excellent experience in college.

Career Services at American River College: The career center is a great place for students to go for information. It has helped me a lot in trying to find jobs in the area that will either help me toward my major or will help so I can continue paying for my college education

Overall Experience at American River College: I have had amazing professors. They all have taught me so much and were very respectful. There are many courses offered at American River College, but this is my first year and haven't taken many courses. Although the ones I have taken have taught me a lot. The classes are about an average of 30 people. Overall, my classes and professors have been very helpful.
