Nightlife at Lock Haven is mostly spent at house parties or at the bar if you're 21 years of age or older. Most students throw non-themed parties. The games that most students play are beer pong, flip cup, kings, and "stump." The first week of school, police try to keep partying to a minimum. Nightlife gets pretty boring for students because it’s a small campus, and everyone gets to know everyone. Each year the house parties change because of students moving to different houses. On Thursday nights, most students that are of age to drink go to The Fallon House and drink for cheap. Hangar 9 is another popular bar for college students. Both of these bars offer cheap drink specials and are the place to be on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.
The other local bars, like Pizza City, have wing nights and drink specials. There are also clubs not that far from Lock Haven, located in Penn State, that underage students can attend to dance and have a good time. Cell Block is another underage club students attend on the weekends if they can’t go to the bar or aren’t into the drinking scene. For nondrinking students, there are on-campus events, Avenue 209, intramural sports, clubs, and the Roxy Movie Theatre. There isn't much to do in Lock Haven, so make friends with students that have a car and go visit Penn State to shop, eat, and go bowling.
