Off-Campus Dining

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of options. A lot of the resteraunts in town are chain resteraunts, but there are a few places that are not which is nice.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a few places off campus that aren't too costly and there is a variety.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are many places to eat right around campus as well as many places within a 5 mile radius. There is a wide selection from dining restruants to fast food places. Hours usually run late so convenice is great, and prices are generally low.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: I eat at home because there really isn't anything worth leaving campus for. Campus dining for commuters is limited and expensive for what it is and seems to be very repetitive.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Overall, it isn't bad. There just isn't a lot of places or variety, especially for a vegetarian.

Fast food restaurants surround Lock Haven. The only known restaurant for students to go on dates, take family members, or have a nice meal is Ruby Tuesday. There are only a few off-campus places at which to eat. Fox’s Restaurant is always packed and hard to get into.

Since Lock Haven is a small college town, there isn’t much to offer students. There are a lot more restaurants located in Penn State and that’s a 45-minute drive to get a decent meal. If students want to go off campus, they have the option of ordering delivery, taking a cheap taxi ride to any one of these restaurants, or driving away from Lock Haven. There aren’t many places for vegetarians or health-conscious students, either. When it comes to variety, there are mainly pizza places, Chinese, fast food, and Ruby Tuesday. On the other hand, everything located in Lock Haven is very affordable and close in price range for students.
