Guys & Girls

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: Most of the students are nice with each other and get along, but of course you're going to meet the few students that are stuck up and aren't very kind. My school is in central PA, so a lot of the students are "country," which means they like to fish, hunt, and wear camo. That isn't me at all, so it is a bit awkward, but there are a nice mix of other types of people.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: I would not date anyone on my campus because I think I should focus while I am there.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: You can dress how ever you want to and still fit in anywhere on campus, there's really not too many flashy people walking around.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Most of the guys are irritating because most of them still have a high school mentality. As far as the girls many of them can be petty. Both the guys and girls gossip too much.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: I believe that at Lock Haven the guys tend to be more laid back and athletic while a lot of the girls care about their academics and work ethic. I believe that there are guys there who care about their academics just as much as some girls and how that some girls can be laid back and athletic as well. Overall I believe that whether a boy or a girl you have a lot of the same interests and social life and that is why this rating is acceptable.

The average student mostly makes time to balance his or her schoolwork with nightlife. Overall, there is an even amount of guys to girls at Lock Haven. This small college is very accepting of everyone’s religions and sexual orientations; no one judges if someone is gay or straight. A lot of students at Lock Haven get their work done, and then there are those that are just there to party. The ones that party don’t usually last at Lock Haven. A majority of the classes has an attendance policy, and if you go over the amount of skips, your grade is affected.

Lock Haven can sometimes feel like high school because of its small size and how close everyone is on campus. Word travels fast. There’s always going to be those catty girls and jerks at every college. You just have to make the best of your college years. Make as many friends and memories as you can. These people won’t matter after college, so focus more on your studies and doing well because that’s what college is for—although making close friends will make the experience a more enjoyable one.
