Academic Flexibility: My classes have been quite convenient. I commute an hour and a half to school every day so I find it to be very helpful that my classes are convenient even when my ride there is not. There have been times I needed to take care of family things as well as personal issues, and after a few emails I knew what I needed to make up or what I missed.

Online Courses: My online classes have gone very well. I learned a lot from my micro computers class about the Microsoft software, and am learning valuable job search strategies from my current on line class.

Career Services: Most people walk into a decent job straight out of this school, because employers know the work the students put in, and the quality of the employees this school produces. The career center sets you up nicely, and there is a large alumni looking to help the younger generation of eagles.

Overall Experience: There has been a vast variety of class room experiences so far. I can say that I haven't wasted my time with a class yet. I've taken math, English, history, and computer classes on top of my major classes and each one has been different. In every class I was at challenged, learned a lot of new things, or gained a useful experience, if not all three. In fact right now I'm in the hardest math class I've ever taken, and even though its challenging and can be difficult, its helping me for the future and is the way a college class should be. There were no over sized classes, and every class had its own style.

Overall Experience: If you talk to any employer searching for a technical college student , this is the school they bring up. This school has a long history of producing the highest quality tradesmen in every field. We have a large job fair, and people to assist with finding jobs. My dad is alumni for HVT and still gets emails from jobs through this school.

Academic Experience: My major is HVT or HAVAC. It is the best major to attend this school for in my opinion. I have learned a lot I thought of things never would have imagined I'd get into. The workload is not too bad because it is spread out. We have projects out of class and in the lab, as well as test and discussions in class. The lab is very large and full of interesting subjects to work on and learn about. As far as internship goes, I've never heard of an HVAC student not getting one from this school. I've been given business cards in public because I was wearing my school hat.

Overall Experience: It has been an awesome experience. I attend the HVAC program and am in my first year. We have learned a lot about different parts of the trade , and it really gets you prepared for a career. I really enjoyed the intramural basketball and the unique large set up of the school. I've already landed an internship for the summer and look forward to strive the in the field, as State Tech has prepared me to do. I would go here again if I could do it all over again to be prepared for profitable employment and a life of learning.

Overall Experience: I am enrolled into course specific class because of the program that I am in, so I really couldn't help in talking about the other courses

Overall Experience: Anywhere you go there are opportunities its what you make of it and how hard you work for it that determines those opportunities.

Academic Experience: The "program" that I am entered in allows me to get an associates degree in applied science. This program is wonderful because we go to school for 8 weeks and then we go on an internship for 8 weeks as well allowing us to get great hands on experience and to make money while we are in school. The workload is not to bad really its actually very manageable. In order to stay in this program every student has to keep a 3.0 GPA and cannot drop below that or they will lose their sponsorship from the dealers they go to intern for and then kicked out of the program. The faculty is great everyone is polite and always willing to help.

Overall Experience: The campus is great! The school has a lot of good resources and it is easy to access those resources. The teachers care and are very willing to help with any thing you need. State Tech also has free tutoring, accessible to every student.

Academic Experience: I haven't seen a lot they have to offer so I'm not sure about everything. What I have seen is amazing!

Academic Experience: So many choices and so many technical programs. Great school!

Academic Flexibility: My classes are Monday-Thursday 7:30-4 so that isn't very flexible but I knew that going into the program.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I haven't had an issue to date. Only issue I have is waiting until 3 months after school starts to get a refund check. I put all my supplies and books on my credit card and need to pay it down but can't until October.

Academic Experience: My program is Commercial Turf & Grounds Management. My program is awesome because my teachers care so much. They truly want us all to succeed and do what they can to help.

Academic Experience: Registration is very hassle-free because you don't even do it. Your advisor does it for you. Workload appears to be easy in every program but mine.

Campus Quality: Very plain facilities. Not much of a campus or social life.

Student Body: Barely any women whatsoever. I feel bad for any girls that go here. Not really any cultural diversity either. Honestly it's almost all rednecks.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am an A+ scholarship student, so I pretty much only pay for room and board, and I think its a great deal. It's a quality education and I think their tuition prices are pretty good anyways.

5 College Senior

Career Services: The career services are available for graduates for life. They may not be the best, but it's still a nice tool.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The institution really does care. I think they are victims of being in a small town but I think the small town might be what makes it so great. It forces you to find new friends and try new things. The class sizes are very small and the teachers really are invested in your future. Because it is a technical college it can be very difficult to transfer credits earned there to universities, which is the only reason I might not do it over again. If you are looking for a cheap, quick, quality education, this school is a perfect choice. If you are looking to go here then transfer to a 4 year school, I would think twice.

Campus Resources: I'm not sure how other programs are but my program has it's own personal computer lab with a printer that is accessible to students. It is a very convenient tool and the computers do not ever have problems.
