Party Scene: I don't drink often, but when I want to go to a party it isn't hard to find on campus. I like 3rd street

Party Scene: Like I said I don't usually go to parties so I don't know

Party Scene: It feels like you're at a high school party but the people are less awkward. Still awkward, just more like uncomfortable awkward and not personally awkward.

Party Scene: Greek life is okay here. But the best parties usually aren't even at the fraternity houses. Usually the really big parties are off campus in upperclassmen's houses which are a hassle to get to especially when the weather is bad. Hawaii House, House of Gains, Thugs, and the fraternities are all far away and no one is ever here on the weekends because everyone lives in the neighboring towns.

Party Scene: Parties were more prominent my first years at Linfield than my senior year. It seemed like the party scene had dried up when I came back from my semester abroad, mostly due to increased campus security. Greek Life always had parties every weekend, but have parties less often than before. Off campus houses always had better parties in my opinion.

View student contributors

The general consensus of Linfield students, since most are under 21, is that the parties are localized at the fraternities. Under-21 students usually hang out with friends, heading into town to eat at Serendipity or Third Street Pizza. While there are plenty of bars and hangouts to choose from in the area, in general, most students are more likely to spend their Friday and Saturday nights at a local fraternity or campus party than at a bar off campus.

Most Linfield students have a great time at on- or off-campus parties rather than off-campus bars. There are live bands on campus, as well as theater events, and a lot of students have their own rock bands or play guitar or piano, so there is bound to be a lively group of students putting something together somewhere. Also, the College is great about putting events together, so there is always something to do on campus. Sports and Greek life at Linfield are also a plus, as there are always events and activities that students can get involved with. In addition, students at Linfield are very social, so there will always be groups of students up to something.
