Off-Campus Dining

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: For being in a small town, it is great. It would be nice to have a car to get to some of them sometimes though.

Off-Campus Dining: Adults love McMinnville because they have real jobs and actual money that they can spend at nice pricey restaurants that are on 3rd Street. However, for the rest of us college students the food budget and budget in general is tight and we can't afford to eat at the restaurants on 3rd street. I also hate that I can't find good sushi anywhere in town.

Off-Campus Dining: There is one street that is nice but the rest of the town is cheap fast food and a Shari's. Expect to see drunk people at Shari's and Muchas Gracias if it's dark out.

Off-Campus Dining: McMinnville has some of the best dining in Oregon, with nationally ranked restaurants thanks to the wine country that surrounds the town. However, these are probably out of most student's price range. There are a number of good restaurants and bars on third street, which is about a mile off campus and easy to walk to. You'll find lots of students out on 3rd on Saturday night.

Off-Campus Dining: The food is tasty and many resturants are within walking distance. Alf's Hamburger's and Jake's Deli is only a quarter mile away from campus.

Most off-campus restaurants are fairly good and located within walking distance. The majority of the restaurants is mostly on Third Street, which is considered downtown McMinnville. The options include McMenamins Pub and 3rd Street Pizza (which also has a movie theatre, so students can catch a movie while eating hot delicious pizza). Other student favorites include Thai Country, Tequila Grill, Los Molcajetes, Ruby Tuesday, and Haagenson's Ribslayer, which are all reasonably priced.

Two other restaurants, Shari's and Muchas Gracias, are also convenient for students looking for a place to eat after-hours. A terrific restaurant is Bistro Maison, which features delicious food and great service. The vegetables at this restaurant are locally grown, and fresh salmon is served. The ambience is nice, both inside and outside in the patio space. La Rambla is also a fantastic restaurant that serves mouth-watering food and is definitely one of the restaurants to go to when parents are in town.
