Greek Life

{{ error }}
3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: There are 4 frats and 4 sororities. Sororities do not have houses and 3 of the 4 fraternities have houses. They are smaller than that of a big school obviously, but still are fun. I myself am a member of a fraternity. One downside is the faculty does not support fraternities and it is common for fraternities to be on probation and for their parties to get shut down.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greek life is average, fraternities have houses and sororities do not.

3 Recent Alumnus

Greek Life: I am not involved in Greek life so I don't really know much about it

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Gree life isn't a huge thing on campus if you join that is okay but if you don't then people don't really mind.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greek life is known for throwing parties as well as hosting fundraising events. I personally do not know much about greek life.

Sororities and fraternities at Linfield generally add to the social scene, but they do not dominate it. Both Greek organizations support many fundraising events, which allow students to get involved in various benefits and activities. The fraternities also sponsor weekend parties, which provide students with the opportunity to relax, meet others, and have a great time. Students feel that Greek life is an added bonus, as it provides a great support group and an alternative to sports.

There are four fraternities and four sororities at Linfield. The fraternities and sororities work with numerous organizations to promote service within the community by raising money, working with various organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and March of Dimes, and contributing thousands of hours of volunteer work. The role of Greek life definitely adds to an already active life on campus, which students seem to appreciate.
