Scholarships: Being under military benefits it is not an easy process with financial aid. They're system of handling both sides is not very organized or easily understandable.

Party Scene: Besides salsa dancing on Friday's...I don't know

Campus Food: The Rot food is pretty decent for a main dinning hall. The only thing that gets me is the routine of going to the same place over and over again. Having Flames cash is so nice especially when you need a break. They do a good job of mixing things up a bit and experimenting in different cultures of food.

Campus Housing: They have a wide range of housing options.

Being the first ones in the new dorm it is a cool experience. I have nothing to compare dorm life to since this is my first year here, but it been pretty good. The hall is quite large making necessary to be more intentional about engaging in community but the common area is a great space to have.

As for the size of the rooms, they are all different which I do think is a little unfair but having your own bathroom is definitely a luxury regardless.

One thing I do wish my housing had was no laundry fee and possibly a common kitchen but I guess you can't have everything.

Greek Life: Greek life? What's that?

Newsflash: Liberty doesn't do Greek Life. Or parties.

Athletics: I don't do "sports," but I do know that they're very popular.

Off-Campus Housing: I don't live off campus...yet.

Off-Campus Dining: Eh. It's okay. Tip: Find a friend with a car. If you don't have a car, don't even think about leaving campus.

Administration: Oh, boy. Well, the thing about Liberty is that it's a private Christian college, so they can pretty much make whatever rules they want here. Like no kissing. Only hand holding. 3 second hugs between the opposite gender. No co-ed dorms. Guy and girls aren't even allowed to go into the opposite gender's building. It's understandable, and drug and alcohol abuse is practically non-exoistant, but the freedom to choose and make decisions is lacking. Some rules are downright ridiculous, not even Christian, mainly cultural. Others are not so bad, and actually make the experience nice. But if you're looking for a "college" experience... that's not Liberty.

For example, I can't even go downstairs and do laundry after midnight. Or leave the building. Three days a week, our rooms are checked for cleanliness. You could eventually be fined if you leave your trashcan full or fail to make your bed. They're good practices, but I don't see why they need to be enforced.

Scholarships: Liberty is known for being great about financial aid. It's just that there are SO many students, so it's almost impossible to get a scholarship if you're not Marty McSmarty-Pants III.

Party Scene: THERE IS NO PARTY SCENE. Has anyone mentioned that even DANCING is FORBIDDEN? Good grief!

Campus Food: There's a lot of variety, now that they've re-vamped the Dining Hall, but it could still use some work. It would be nice if there could be more meal swipes available for food you can take back to your dorm (since you can't at the Rot). Who likes eating in public when Netflix is calling you on weekends?

Campus Housing: The cost is pretty decent compared to a lot of schools out there. The whole three person dorms is a bit much, I find. Liberty doesn't do co-ed dorms (or really, co-ed anything), so you basically get a plot of estrogen here and a plot of testosterone there... It can be very interesting. And no matter what they tell you, "mingling" is actually almost looked down upon (but rest assured, everyone will be buzzing with "Ring by Spring" talk).

Off-Campus Housing: The school does a great job of advertising off-campus housing that they feel is a good option. Most of the off-campus housing options are close to campus and a reasonable price. However, sometimes traffic can make the commute long.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are very many choices for off-campus dining, however sometimes they are a little expensive for college students on a budget.

Administration: The rules here are very strict, but the majority of the rules seem to have a very positive impact on my education and social activities.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Financial aid was simple. All I had to do was apply for FAFSA, VTAG, and multiple scholarships offered through the school.

Party Scene: I really enjoy the fact that there are very few parties at Liberty. This makes the community safer and students are impacted positively.

Campus Food: It is great to be able to use Flames Cash at restaurants that are off campus as well as using meal swipes and many different places on campus.

Campus Housing: Living on campus is great because it is very easy to make friends and feel close to many different people.
