Off-Campus Dining: Cookout is conveniently located near campus. It has great food for low prices. The staff there is always friendly. Cookout has become one of my favorite places to go out to off campus.

Scholarships: Financial aid is awesome for students who are super smart or they are from Virginia. Good students from out of state do not have as many scholarship opportunities as local students do. They are very helpful if you are trying to find loan money but it would be helpful if the school would offer more scholarships directly to the students, especially for athletic training and nursing students who have clinical rotations and cannot have a part-time job.

Campus Housing: There is a huge variation in on-campus housing. All of it is overpriced but some of the buildings are brand-new and others were meant to be temporary housing from 30 years ago. They are working to improve dorm buildings but the cost continues to increase for the new rooms based on the demand. The higher the demand, the higher the price.

Off-Campus Housing: You can have a great experience or a lousy experience depending on where you live and how much you are willing to pay. Most students move off-campus to lower the cost of attendance and cheap apartments come with annoying landlords.

Administration: Faculty and staff, including RA's, are very strict about some aspects of campus life and very lenient in other areas. Alcohol, drug use, and parking violations are all very closely monitored but other rules are not enforced nearly as harshly.

Health & Safety: Campus safety and LUPD are always driving around campus and are stationed at every school event in case they are needed. I have seen EMS respond quickly to fans in the football stadium and to students during convocation.

Off-Campus Dining: Food tax in Lynchburg is ridiculous. Above 11% in Lynchburg, just outside the city limits the food tax is lower.

Local Area: Previous students and school decisions have left a bad taste in the local's mouths about students from Liberty University. Students do community service in an attempt to reconcile lost relationships with locals from Lynchburg who have been in the area since the school began in 1971. Relationships are improving in some areas and worsening in others.

Party Scene: Going to a school named "Liberty University" is the most contradictory statement as we go to a school with no liberty guaranteed to it's students. We have curfew every night. 12:30 on weekends, and girl R.A.s watch you like hawks. No parties for Liberty students.

Academics: The work load is usually crazy but totally worth it because it insures that I am getting my money's and worth.

Greek Life: There is no Greek life at Liberty University.

Campus Food: Subco and Docs are the best. I prefer to not eat at the Reber Thomas but I will if I have to. The food just isn't the best.

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus house is just that. The apartments are extremely nice, especially the refurnished buildings. I love it but I just wish I didn't have to be twenty one before we can move off.

Scholarships: The only tip that I have is that students should apply for everything. Getting all the financial aid I need was so simple and the people helped me out in every way and still do.

Off-Campus Dining: Almost all off-campus food places accept flames cash which is convieniant for Liberty students especially in the beginning of the semester. All of the food places are cost effective and a close distance from campus.

Overall Experience: The career center services are amazing on campus. The only problem is the amount of big time recruits. Small businesses and food companies come to recruit college workers but not so much big businesses.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I am majoring in psychology. I am absolutely enjoying learning every aspect of my field. It's intriguing and the professors really seem to know what they are speaking on. Almost all of them majored in psychology and got their PHDs and that makes learning from them easier.

Athletics: Athletics are the second most important on campus. Everyone is athletic in one way or another, for the most part.

Local Area: Liberty is pretty close to down town Lynchburg where there is a lot to do for what can be seen as cheap. Shops, bakery's and beautiful sites.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Campus crime is overlooked and there needs to be more support for those who are victims of any kind of assault.

4 College Junior

Athletics: The student body is very involved and have team spirit when it comes to athletics

4 College Junior

Campus Food: Subconnection is the best place to eat on campus. I wish the Bistro 71 still existed.

3 College Junior

Administration: There are some policies that I do not agree with, but if I don't like the rules I shouldn't go to the school.

2 College Junior

Party Scene: There are no parties on campus, but if you know the right people you can find the best parties off campus

Off-Campus Housing: It is totally worth it to live off campus and to have freedom.
