Scholarships: Financial aid is never fun, but Liberty makes the process as smooth as it can. You do not have to go digging for information, and they email you consistently if you have not completed something necessary. Their call center is also extremely helpful and usually available.

Campus Food: Unfortunately, many students complain about our main cafeteria (The Rot), but in reality it is amazing. In that one space alone there are probably 10 different dining options, not to mention the loaded salad bar. We also have plenty of restaurants to choose from, including three Starbucks, Chik-fil-a, a bistro, Papa John's, a diner, and a "fresh market" buffet.

My one complaint is that, as a commuter, I have to pay a ridiculous amount for meal swipes.

Campus Housing: Most people I've spoken to enjoy living on campus. Some dorms are better kept/more spacious than others, but it all depends on what you are willing to pay.

Personally, it was far more affordable for me to live off campus in an apartment, so I did. An LU-owned bus comes every hour to four different apartment complexes including mine, so I don't have to drive to school.

Off-Campus Housing: There's a variety of options for off-campus housing from student apartments to privately rented houses. The quality of landlords vary just like anywhere else. There's also a decent amount of off-campus housing near campus with the vue right behind walmart and townhomes for rent across from candler's mountain station. The school even has transportation for students living at the various apartment complexes in town.

Off-Campus Dining: There are some really great local restaurants in town, some you have to venture out to find. There's definitely a decent variety of options whether it's local or a chain, american or ethnic, cheap or more expensive.

Administration: Personally, I think the rules and policies are reasonable. I don't necessarily agree with every single one of the rules but I agreed to live by them as a student and I intend to do so. They're there for a reason and you are aware of them when you decide to go to the school so if you don't want to follow the rules, don't go to the school.

Party Scene: Parties is not something that Liberty is known for. It's a "dry" campus so alcohol is prohibited and the opposite sex is not allowed on the dorms. Despite not really having a party scene, Liberty provides plenty of activities for us like kayaking, skiing, white water rafting, mountain biking, and so much more.

Scholarships: Other than the scholarships I receive automatically from Liberty, I did not apply for financial aid.

Campus Food: It really depends on where you eat and what's being served. When I lived at the annex there were days when the mini-rot was the best place to go but there were other days when you avoided it. Chickfila and SubCo are always my go-to. They're more consistent than the rot and mini-rot.

Campus Housing: I loved my time on campus. I lived in 3 different buildings and each one was great and provided a different type of atmosphere that worked for what I was looking for those years.
