Campus Housing: Liberty University is an excessively religious masquerade that spreads throughout the entire city of Lynchburg. There are few bars and/or clubs because thats against the "Liberty Way". The legalism is taken to an extreme and all the while they pride themselves on non-judgementalism and spirituality, claiming to be non-religious. It will make one sick after a few years. When one finally decides that this is not the place for them, it is too late. Credits will transfer to very few schools so most people are faced with the decision to tough it out a few more years or drop out.

Parking: There is not enough parking yet.. and you are more than likely to get towed at least once while living on campus.

Guys & Girls: Guys Vs. Girls – Because this is a Christian Universiy, there is a dress code so for the most part modesty is a requirement; however apparently a few years back Playboy came to the school and ranked the school as the 2nd hottest college girls in the nation. There is plenty of diversity here, so most of the time you can find a good group of friends to hang out with. Guys and girls interact all the time, however there are rules not allowing the opposite sex in each others dorms, kissing on campus, or behaving inappropriately anywhere around each other. All in all, the relationships between guys and girls is very healthy and even though many people don't like the rules, you find ways to get used to them and have fun regardless

Campus Housing: Campus Life – Because Liberty's a private University, the cost is up there, but in comparison to other private colleges it is very manageable. Plenty of scholarships are available if you look for them, allowing you to then pick the best dorms that fit your style. The atmosphere is great here and If you want to have a good time, the option is there. There is always things to do including even going to the world's only outdoor snowflex that you can ski on in the summer! Around the holiday season the campus is always alive and active and many unique activities like talent shows and sporting events are available to participate in or watch. All in all, Liberty has a great campus life and I would strongly people to consider it when looking for a college.

Campus Food: Dining has significantly improved recently with more than just 2 or 3 options to use meal swipes. Doc's, bistro, and sub connection are all excellent alternatives to the main Reber Thomas Dining Hall(aka: the ROT). I currently have a 14 meals a week swipe plan with 50 meal points and $200 flames cash which is $250 flex dollars altogether. Flames cash is great because we can then go to outside restaurants off campus and use the money we already paid for by coming to Liberty. The one thing I wish they would change is that they allow us to use our swipes in whatever way we wish. Currently they allow only one swipe per meal which by the end of the week makes for a lot of wasted swipes sometimes. All in all, Liberty's campus has great diversity in meals and if you want to have a good meal, you can usually find one.

Parking: I don't own a car so its not a problem for me, but I heard lots of storys and know a lot of people (and even professors) who are having problems! The school is trying to deal with it but it is still a big problem. There is towing for people parking in the wrong areas and I know its just a big hassle.

Guys & Girls: Guys and Girls – At Liberty University we have a dress code. Not everyone follows and its not the strictest in the world. Most girl actually seem to dress up according to their own tastes while others just wear jeans and a t-shirt. Most people look neat and tidy but everyone has their own style. There are a lot of attractive and not so attractive people here. Its just according to the preference. There are people from everywhere so its a variety!

Off-Campus Dining: Fast Food and Resturants – Liberty University has a lot of restaurants and fast food places that are close to the campus, so off campus students can just drive (or even walk sometimes) to a restaurant like Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel, Buffalo Wild Wings ect. We are also in walking distance of Sonic, Chic-Fil-A, and McDonald's.

Administration: We have a dress code and code of conduct that some students consider restrictive, but in view of this being a Christian school, I do not think is especially harsh. It includes policies on hair dyeing, piercings, and tattoos. Drinking, drug use, and partying are strictly punished. You will get caught, this is a tight community. PDA is officially limited to holding hands but lots of couples are seen with arms around each other etc. but NOT kissing. Also, students are officially limited to PG-13 and below movies. Overall, the school is trying to encourage students to exemplify a Christ-like atmosphere and community.

Athletics: Flames Nation – Liberty fans are becoming known, at least in our football conference. We call ourselves the "flames nation" and we can get pretty insane at games. Hockey and basketball are the other really popular sports on campus.

Campus Housing: Liberty University provides several different types of housing for students living on campus. Of course, there is off-campus living available for those students who are upperclassmen. However, on-campus students can choose from several different kinds of housing for the year. This includes East campus living, quad living, and the main campus. East campus provides a more private living and features an apartment style quad with 3 rooms, a living room, kitchen, bathrooms for each room, and a washer and dryer as opposed to quad living and main campus living which is more public because you have to share a bathroom with the whole hall. Also, main campus living does not provide personal washer and dryers but there are a few provided that the student has enough change to get their clothes washed!

Health & Safety: Overall, there have been no severe threats of crime and such on campus. There have been no intended crimes, whatsoever, and generally, the campus is very safe with on-campus police officers patrolling the entire campus 24/7. There is also an escort service for those who feel that they need someone to be with them as they go their way back to their respective dorms.

Local Area: Liberty University is a great school and provides quality education for students who are seeking it. Liberty is surrounded by various restaurants for people's enjoyment. There may not be as much fun activities around, unlike other colleges around big cities, but the activities are enough to provide a relaxing time away from the stress of college.

Overall Experience: Stay on Track – If I had to do it all over again I am 100% sure I would choose Liberty again. Liberty is where I met my roommate and my best friend, Liberty has wonderful academics, and most importantly Liberty helps me stay on track with my relationship God.

Party Scene: What Night Life? This is a Christian college. Yes I'm sure there are still people who party here but it is not common. I do not want to party anyways. Many people who party and drink make unwise decisions, decisions that can effect their life forever.

Local Area: Lovely Lynchburg – This town is filled to the brim with things to do; from the dollar theater, cheap bowling, sports events, community service opportunities, and historic downtown Lynchburg. The people here are very friendly and I think this would be a nice town to live in some day(:

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I really love the people here; but the rules are way too strict. We have curfew at 12 every night and 10 on tuesdays for hall meeting and prayer groups and then 1am on fridays and saturdays. Not to mention dress code, mandatory convocation meetings MWF, and mandatory room cleanliness checks every MWF as well. There is always something fun to do around campus though, which is a plus.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of places to eat off campus that are good. Everything you would possibly need is in a mile radius of the school which is convenient but sometimes gets you feeling trapped in a bubble.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: The guys at the school are all into chivalry, which is nice! But they lack on the looks part...unfortunate. But if you're looking for a guy to treat you right this school is definitely for you!

3 College Freshman

Weather: Lynchburg weather seems to be rather fickle. Apparently it is notoriously rainy as well. Overall, it isn't extremely cold or hot.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: There is a wide variety of racial and ethnic groups here. There are church services in many languages nearby. There is also a variety of people from different economic backgrounds. Political beliefs are varied but there is an overwhelmingly prevalent Republican influence. Liberty is a bit liberal for a Christian university, but most students would agree that it is extremely conservative. Homosexual lifestyle is combated.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Being a christian school, Liberty doesn't have an overwhelming drug influence. There are people who drink and smoke however. Not everyone who goes here is a Christian or uptight with their morals. It isn't very visible, but nevertheless, still goes on. The punishments for such actions are pretty harsh.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Our football team won the Big South 4 times in a row before this year. The Big South isn't a great conference, but Liberty excels in it. The volleyball team wins their conference regularly as well. We have had some awesome track runners and a strong baseball team with pro prospects. Football game days are really fun. There are tailgating parties and cookouts everywhere, as well as high attendance at the games. Intramural sports are also a great stress reliever if you're looking to just have fun.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Dining hall food gets old fast. It is decent to begin with though and a source of a well balanced meal. Meal swipes used to only be used at the dining hall, but due to positive changes they are now available at other places on campus. There is a variety of places to eat besides the dining hall. It just depends on whether you can afford to go to them all of the time. The meal swipe availability is making some places more practical.

3 College Junior

Weather: The weather is kind of bipolar because one day it's warm out and the next it's freezing, but that's expected when your college is located in the mountains. It doesn't really bother me or anyone else.
