4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: I would say they do a great job. The places they have around campus are great.

Transportation: The transportation is amazing! We have a running bus program. If you miss one, another will be coming around in two mins.

Scholarships: The Financial Aid process is difficult no matter which school you attend. Liberty however, does everything they can to help you keep coming back to school. I applied in May and got accepted and received about $12,000 in scholarships. Throughout the process of paying for school though, my family has gone through some job failures and I ended up having to look for loans. However, Liberty also gave me help grants to make up for what I couldn't pay. There offices will answer any questions you have.

Off-Campus Dining: There are dozens of great restaurants around Liberty! Most of them take flames cash which is part of your meal plan that allows you to eat at local restaurants with a pre-paid debit card. Also, if you don't use it all it will carry over between semesters. Great restaurants, food, and not having to worry about spending too much is a wonderful combination!!

Diversity: It's very nice to see so many different people groups represented at liberty. While it seems a majority of the population is white, it is rare to see a large grouping without a large diversity of ethnicities.

Parking: The parking lots are well kept with plenty of security patrols. However, because the campus is so big, there is no guarantee of getting a spot near your classes.

Transportation: Transportation for Liberty students is very convenient. They have a bus system that has multiple stops, and runs on a ten minute basis throughout the day when classes are in session. However, at night they only run every half-hour which is challenging for certain students who live a good two miles away from main campus. Also, the town of Lynchburg where Liberty is located has multiple traffic accidents a week which also puts a stop in swift transportation.

Off-Campus Housing: There are many residential areas near college with apartments and rooms to rent. Most of them are in good condition. There are also lots of houses for rent near campus which is perfect for grad students with families. Teaming up with a roommate is probably the best way to get affordable off-campus housing.

Athletics: Sports are very important at LU. IM and Club sports are huge too. There are many ways to get involved at any level of play.

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Getting FA is easy at LU. I get all the aid I need. You just have to do all the required work.

4 College Junior

Transportation: The school has vans that transport you to hotels whenever we have intensives. There are also buses you can use.

5 College Junior

Majors: It was very simple to get in to the program. I just needed to send them my transcripts from the colleges I attended. They required a certain GPA and certain psych courses in order to enter the program. I believe GPA, extracurricular activities and references are important requirements in an application.

3 College Junior

Majors: My degree does require an internship so I do plan on doing one. I do have concerns because I am not currently working in the field of the degree I am pursuing. I am not sure if I will be able to find a scholarship because of my lack of experience.

5 College Junior

Majors: I do enjoy being in the counseling program. The things I've learned are valuable for me. The program is very well rounded. The program helps you to incorporate faith into practice, the professors and still really care for you and the campus itself is beautiful. I do an online course so but I had one course where I was there for a week.

3 College Junior

Majors: I enjoy being at Liberty. It is a program designed to help incorporate my faith into everyday practice and they are very good at helping us grow in that way. If I had to do it again, I would. My desire is to become a professional counselor in the Hackensack NJ and be a resource to churches and those who may not normally be able to afford counseling. My major concern about finding a job is ensuring I get the experience I need to be qualified for different job opportunities. I am still very new to the field.

3 College Junior

Weather: During winter, the snow can be annoying with getting to class, especially when it does not get cancelled.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: The Education program is really great. The teachers are so helpful. I am enrolled in an online degree program, and we have 3 classes where we physically have to be on campus. It's great that online students can still benefit from the face to face interaction.

Guys & Girls: The Fine Breed of Snow Bunnies are in existence at Liberty. But rarely do you see anyone at Liberty with actual style, when you do you will definitely notice. Also don't look for girls with tight revealing clothing no leggings and cleavage guards all day even for the trainees. I haven't got a clue why all the white guys just have to wear button downs with long sleeves just to roll the sleeves up. It wouldn't be a problem if 9/10 people didn't do it, but it isn't that way!

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Liberty's financial aid department have answered all questions that I inquired about so far, and they have been a pleasure to deal with.

1 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking in unbelievable here on campus. Because freshman are allowed to bring cars there are to many cars and not enough spaces. If you work late or have a late class you can expect to have to park at the bottom of the pit which is at least a ten minute walk back to the dorms.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I'm still a freshman at LU so I haven't gotten into any of my core classes for my major yet, though I'm told that Liberty's School of Business is one of the best. As a freshman though taking all of the required entry level courses the work load is not bad and the professors are great.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: The academics here at Liberty are more then I could have hoped for. The diversity is amazing, and the professors are so passionate about what they teach. Nothing here at Liberty academically speaking is sub-par. One of the main reasons I chose Liberty was because it was a Christian university, I consider it such a privilege to go where professors can freely talk about Christ and open every class with prayer.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I gave on-campus living a C because for the most part, I like it. Living on the main part of campus is very social and walking to and from class is quite easy. The dorms are quite small for three people to be living in and most of the dorms are very old and could use some help. Along with that, room and board is upwards of 4,000 dollars per semester; for the quality of the food on campus and the quality of the living spaces that is obscene.
