4 College Junior

Majors: I had no problems getting into my program of study.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: I recieved a fair amount of financial aid. The only drawback for me was having to go back and recheck my financial aid once or twice a week to make sure that I everything was being added to my account.

3 College Freshman

Academics: I like it so far with Liberty University Online. The admissions, student services, and financial aid departments have been very helpful. The classes are challenging but rewarding because every subject is being taught from a Christian worldview. Must stay on top of your financial aid to be sure you are getting your full package. Must be disciplined in courses because you could easily fall behind. Overall a great school!

Academics: At Liberty, students are expected to achieve academic excellence. Courses are rigorous.

Transportation: There is a Liberty bus system. The buses during the school weak are very reliable. During school time, buses come by every 5 min. The bus fare is included in a transportation fee which students pay upfront.

Parking: The parking situation is ok. Finding a parking space can be difficult. Additionally, finding a space in close proximity to where you are hoping to go can be difficult. Additionally, certain parking lots are only for certain people.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: Nightlife does not include partying. Instead, students can attend the theater, go ice skating or hang out in the Tilley and play games.

Technology: While there are plenty of computers at my school, the speed of the internet is poor.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Football stadium is packed out every home game. Liberty students and parents take football seriously. The ladies always excell in their sports and they guys strive to be best

2 College Sophomore

Parking: The parking is unfair. If students do not purchase an on campus sticker; they are not permitted to there until after 4pm. Parking without a parking sticker will be your worst day ever because they have towing trucks that run 24 hours and charge 150 dollars per tow.

Campus Food: The restaurants that surround the campus are well known and their food is delectible. Most of the restaurants accept Flames cash, money that comes along with a meal plan option. Unfortunately, the main dining facility on campus is not mouthwatering. The food is just like high school cafeteria lunch and it is not worth paying a thousand dollars for it. They also need to change the menu. The cafeteria is a buffet but the experience is nothing compared to Golden Corral. I would suggest second semester freshmen to change their meal plan to five meals a week because this option gives you 300 meal points that can be used for the restaurants on campus such as Chic-Fil-a, Pizza Hut, and Docan Donuts

Majors: I am very satisfied with the choose of major I made.

5 College Freshman

Majors: All of Liberty University is a great school. I choose my degree based on what I wanted they are very helpful.

5 College Freshman

Academics: The religion program is outstanding. I am online so it is very difficult starting however the school is very helpful.

Scholarships: Liberty University is a very helpful school when it comes to any type of finacial aid questions. I am a Full Time Firefighter and I can only get so much help. Liberty will assist you in all the process of paperwork.

5 College Senior

Drug Safety: Drugs are very uncommon at Liberty. Usage is definitely rare.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: Liberty is very good at keeping in contact with students concerning financial aid. They are extremely helpful if you make in-person appointments rather than phone calls.

Campus Quality: Liberty's facilities are outstanding. There is always construction of a new building underway, as well as additions to the old. All buildings are always gorgeous and well kept. Liberty is home to snowflex (a year round ski-slope), an ice rink, skate park, multiple pools, private movie is hard to think of facilities we don't have.

Parking: Getting a permit is very time consuming, you can be waiting in line for hours. If you're willing to pay for a higher permit then parking may be decent, if you're early. Towing is outrageous. Overall there is too many cars and too few spaces.

Guys & Girls: The community is one of my favorite things about Liberty. The guys are genuine, godly, fun guys. They are serious about their education and their relationship with God. The guys at LU are extremely attractive! It is rare to find an ugly guy here...and even if you do he will most likely be the sweetest guy you will ever meet. The girls are super friendly, and I've been told our school is top 3 in the nation for girls. They too are serious about their future careers and their relationship with the Lord. The environment is healthy, encouraging, and safe. I have developed some of my closest relationships here at Liberty that I know will be life-long.

Campus Housing: On-campus housing at Liberty University is phenomenal. The dorms are spacious, kept clean, and no dorm is insanely far from classes. I lived on "The Circle" freshman year and loved my location. It was close to classes, the Intramural fields, a good bus stop, and Dunkin' Donuts for a late night coffee run. The cost for "the circle" was not outrageous. And move-in was a breeze. The leadership on the halls were phenomenal (The RA's, SLD's, and prayer leaders.) I am living in "The Quads" my upcoming sophomore year which is directly behind the circle. I love this end of campus. I haven't heard anything negative about any location on campus though.

Off-Campus Dining: Liberty University is surrounded by off-campus dining. Liberty is found off of Wards Rd. Wards Road has tons of great food/restaurants. You have your typical fast foods places; Sonic, Chick-fil-a, Mcdonalds, Cookout, Wendy's, Taco Bell. But you also have nice places such as; Texas Roadhouse, Logan's Roadhouse, Buffalo Wild Wings, Cracker Barrel, Panera, Starbucks. Most of these places listed are within walking distance. Lots of the local restaurants accept "Flames Cash," (pre-loaded ID card, similar to giftcard, we can use on/off campus). Cookout is a Liberty University hot spot. Along with Sonic, Sheetz, and Buffalo Wild Wings. If you ever want to get off campus for a meal, fun experience, or non-cafeteria food, our school's location makes it easy!

Weather: Lynchburg is also known as "Drench-burg." It does rain quite a bit at Liberty University, but I don't mind it. Students know to carry an umbrella or wear a rain jacket. If you go to class prepared then that, along with our awesome bus system, the rain will not hurt! Also, it doesn't storm very often; just rains hard. It will rain for a couple of days but then that is always followed by beautiful sunny weather. It isn't always raining here. Liberty University is in the mountains, so sunsets and campus life is awesome.

2 College Junior

Party Scene: It's not a metropolitan area, and it's a Christian campus, so finding a lot of these type activities on/off campus is a challenge.

2 College Junior

Scholarships: For undergrad they are fine, but for grad school they are basically non-existent
