Administration: There are several aspect of the rules that are constant downfalls for most people. Some of these include the dress code, parking, curfew, drinking/drugs, and public displays of attention. Breaking any of the rules pertaining to these topics results in "reps" or "points." The number of reps a person get is dependent on the seriousness of the offense. Examples of this would be: A girl wearing a dress above the knee. Depending on the RA, they may give that girl a warning first. Some RA's would write her up immediately and she would receive 4 reps I believe. Breaking curfew results in only 1 rep. However things such as alcohol or drug use result in a higher number of reps. An abortion results in reps and $500 fine. Once a person has so many reps, they are required to do community service. If that is not completed, or the person continues to receive and outrageous amount of reps, they are dismissed from Liberty. All that said, Liberty is quite strict in many areas.

Off-Campus Housing: Many of the apartments off campus are around 5-10 minutes away. A three bedroom apartment split between 4 people in this area would only cost each person between $250-400 per month in many cases. Also, most the apartments near campus are fairly new and clean. If a person were looking to rent/buy a house near campus, they would also be able to find many quaint houses not far from campus. The biggest downfall to living off campus is the commute. The road system in Lynchburg is somewhat confusing and can take awhile to get used to. Other than that, living off campus is a great alternative to the dorms.

Campus Quality: That they have exectlly what u need. But you better know how to get around campus.

5 College Student

Campus Quality: They are a great college! They have some awesom programs to go into. They understand that God is a important thing in your life. They also try to teach you more about God.

Majors: I feel that Liberty University offers a very wide range of majors. I am currently an online student majoring in Criminal Justice with my AA and I will still remain at the same school for my BS. I am very pleased with all of the major opportunities at Liberty.

5 College Senior

Academics: Liberty University's academics are very easy to understand and complete successfully. I am an online student so I have to study through a computer and course books without the help of an instructor right in front of you and I am able to easily understand the materials and assignments.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: I am an online student so I live in California where I have lived all of my life so there is no place like home and being able to attend an amazing school even if they are on the other side of the United States!!!

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: I am an online student so I have not yet had the pleasure of visiting the campus to see what the housing would be like.

Drug Safety: Liberty University is one of the few colleges that uphold and run on Chirstian, Biblical principals. The drug scene on the campus is virtually unseen. If so it is dealt with quickly with appropiate action.

Majors: Liberty is too big. Some of my classes have hundreds of students. The facilities are nice but there are a lot of majors.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I started out in psychology then switched to nursing and now am switching to education. I am havin a hard time deciding on a major.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: Sometimes its hard being at such a large school. im still not sure what I want to do so it's hard to pick a major

Scholarships: It has been the number on issue in wanting to attend Liberty University. I have sensed God telling me that it'll be taken care of but I can not help but fret a little when I know that I have to pay probably at least 20 thousand a year. Fafsa will help me out hopefully, and my grades could be better for sure, so I'm not planning on getting much of an academic scholarship. Other than that, I am applying for sweet scholarships like this and hopefully receiving them to further my education and get the degrees I would like to possess!

Off-Campus Housing: I do not live off-campus personally, but I visit friends off campus all the time. They say that you can get a good, close spot if you get it just right time wise. There are many spots close to campus, and there are really awesome spots further away from campus too. If you manage your time right, it's worth it regardless. The pricing has never been complained about to me by any of my friends off campus.

4 College Senior

Technology: There are really plenty of computers on campus. Most people have there own. There are Mac Desktops if one wants to use them opposed to Windows. There are printing stations that are pretty efficient and quick.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: The earlier you get started with the process the better. My advisor explained all of this to me and I was made aware of the paperwork needed to obtain my loans on time. The call center requires some patience at times because there are so many people calling in with questions, but you most times my questions are always answered, by someone who was professional and timely.

Drug Safety: I personally have NEVER experienced drugs on this campus, nor peer pressure to do such things. Liberty is an overall clean campus, and such rules are heavily enforced.

Party Scene: I guess to the worldly standards Liberty stinks in this department, but I personally like not having parties and doing illegal things. I have good clean fun, and it does not involve illegal activity.

4 College Junior

Majors: I am very pleased with my courses at Liberty University Online. I believe I made the best choice and I would choose LUO if I had to do it all over again. I would like to be an Asset Manager when I complete my degree. The thought of not being able to find a job has crossed my mind but I’m not too concerned. I know I will be prepared for whatever the future has to offer.

Technology: I am glad that the school increased a lot of computers this year. So it is much better but the internet quality is not that good. It is slow. Also Liberty controls your access to certain websites because it is a conservative school. I dont mind if they restrain unappropriate sites but they sometimes denies access to some internation websites that has no problems.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academics: I am majoring in Human Resource in Liberty University. I like the courses and the workload is a lot that really makes you learn. But the school is not investing in this major and there is only one professor for our major. It is hard to benefit from having only one professor because she is constantly busy!

Campus Housing: As freshman its good for making friends, getting to know the school and getting information about school life. Also, attending convos and having prayer groups can be a benefit but it is cheaper to go off campus in Lynchburg.

Health & Safety: Totally Safe – Our school is the biggest christian school in the world. We have curfew and certain rules to keep us and our students safe. Also the police on campus are always there to help us when we need them.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academics: To be honest, I can say that the school is trying hard to advance in academics but still it does not have competitive programs.

4 College Senior

Local Area: Many attractions within comfortable driving distance
