3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I have only had to deal with it once so far, but the only experience I have had so far has been a pain but it eventually got worked out on time.

College Freshman

Party Scene: I do not go to any parties. When I have time for extra things in my schedule besides homework and classes, I am with my friends on my hall.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: I absolutely love the mini rot because it is real food and the best part, is that it is small. I do not like the main rot only because it is way to large and I do not do well with a lot of people.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I love living on campus because I am surrounded by friends and people that care about me, and me them. Being on campus, I am also close to everything.

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I do not live off campus.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: We have a huge variety of food places around campus.

Administration: Some things are strict others are not as strict.

College Sophomore

Party Scene: Partying is against the Liberty Way

Campus Food: The food options are not the best and there is a variety but its not the best variety.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Living on campus helps you get into community and fellowship with people. You are encouraged and loved. Most everyone helps you grow spiritually and mentally.

Athletics: On Liberty, North Campus is where the indoor athletic facilities. On North, there is a gym that is part of our tuition and an indoor track and other fields. Then outside there are several soccer fields and an outdoor track for every one to use.

Off-Campus Housing: I do not live off campus but from what I have heard, off campus living is not that bad. Liberty has several off campus locations that are fairly priced and they even have buses that go there. Then there are apartment complexes all over Lynchburg and right outside of Lynchburg for students.

Off-Campus Dining: There are many different dinning options off-campus that one can consider. They range from fast food to a good healthy meal. Each semester Liberty gives their students $200 in flames cash. That means you can use your student id to buy snacks from the vending machines and certain places off campus allow the students to us flames cash. Then if a student as any left over money from the last semester then, that left over money rolls over into the next semester.

Administration: Liberty University has very strict rules that they enforce. If someone is caught using or having alcohol or drugs they are immediately kicked out of the school. For school if you miss a certain amount of days they start to take anywhere from 50-150 points off per day. On Sunday-Thursday you have to be in your dorm by midnight or you get written up and then on Friday and Saturday curfew is 12:30. Parking on Liberty is very frustrating. There are many different places to park but students have to buy a parking sticker otherwise they get towed. Parking stickers cost anywhere from 150-600 per semester and then if you get towed, you have to pay 85 per day it is in the lot. Then with visitations in dorms, that is also strict. Boys are not allowed in girls dorms and girls are not allowed in boys dorms unless it is open dorm day, which is very rare. Then if someone of the same sex wants to stay in your dorm for a while, you have to fill out a form 48 hours before hand and then get it approved by your RA's and RD.

Scholarships: Liberty has many different scholarships that they give out in order to help out with financial aid. For instance, right now I have a Pastoral scholarship, and Alumni scholarship, and two scholarships for just being a student at Liberty. All you have to do is fill out a financial aid form and they will then tell you in two-four business days whether or not you received the financial aid.

Party Scene: Since Liberty is a Christian University there are not many parties since it is against the rules to drink and have premarital sex. Now, at the beginning of the school year, Liberty hosts a block party which is kinda like a carnival. There are rides, food, cotton candy, snow cones, and then a free concert at night. Then all throughout the week you can go downtown and take free swing dancing and salsa dancing lessons and then practice them for a little bit. But most people just make their own on campus. For instance my friends and I take someones TV and DVD player hook it up in either Demoss when it is cold out or outside the Library when it is warm out and watch movies and TV shows.

Campus Food: There are a variety of different places on campus that offer food. One of the main places is the ROT. At first the ROT is considered alright for a college but after a while the food starts to get old and you wish for something different. Then over in the Library they have a Pizza Hut and a Starbucks which is nice to have from time to time. Then over on East Campus, which is far away, is The Bistro which I believe has fantastic food but the down side is that for me, The Bistro is too far away to get often. Then also on East is Docs, which kinda has food similar to the ROT but is pretty much bad for your body. Then over on North Campus is Chick-fil-A and Sub-connection. Chick-fil-a is amazing as usual and I have not eaten at Sub-Connection because I am not a big fan of sandwiches. The down-side though to Chick-fil-a is that it is a far walk over to North because I half to go around The Welcome Center and the track field and baseball field in order to get there.

Campus Housing: I go to Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia and my dorm is called The Hill and it is in the center of campus. To live on the hill is about 2,600 per semester. The room has one bunk bed and a loft bed, three desks with chairs, three small closest, two tall dressers and one short dresser, two cubbies along the walls, and there is a sink with a mirror above it. The hall has twenty-four room similar to it and has two bathrooms with three toilets and about six showers. Monday-Friday, there is a cleaner on the hall to clean the stairwells and the bathrooms on the weekends though nobody comes in to clean. The housing process is alright though. I can request a room and roommates, which is nice, but if the two roommates I requested do not complete financial check-in around the same time as me, their spots will be filled by someone else.

Off-Campus Housing: I don't really know too much about off campus housing. It appears to be fine.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: The off-campus dining is very good, has a nice variety, and is priced decently.

4 College Freshman

Administration: The rules are enforced but they are for the good of students so I don't mind most of them.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Financial Aid is open to helping find aid but it is complicated just because of all it entails.

1 College Freshman

Party Scene: People can have fun, small parties at Liberty but drinking, drugs, sex etc is not allowed. If people are going to party like that they go off campus.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: The food available is very good most of the time.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Liberty is an awesome school! I love everything about it an am very glad I chose to go there.
