Campus Food: Liberty U has plenty to choose from within the cafeteria and outside of the cafeteria at the other dining facilities on campus...as well as some "chain" options including: Barnes & Nobles, Chick-Fil-A, and Dunkin Donuts, etc...

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: The drug scene at Liberty U is not big or present on-campus. Although it depends on who your friends are. People who are looking for trouble will find it, it doesn't matter where they come from or what school they go to. Overall, Liberty U campus is safe when it comes to the drug/alcohol scene.

Guys & Girls: You'll find all sorts of guys and girls at Liberty U: city, ravers, rednecks, suburbans, preppies, etc... With all kinds of people interested in different activities: sports, music, arts, etc...

Campus Quality: The school is under a lot of construction at the moment. We have a new library being built and new dorms. If you are looking for a party school, you might want to look around some more but we can have just as much fun in our own way. Some of the brother/sister dorms try to do a lot of fun activities and when we get snow(which isn't very often) we have huge snowball fights

Campus Quality: Liberty is definitely a different kind of school and unlike any other. With that said, it is not for everyone either. There is a high emphasis on personal faith and giving back to the community. I am an athletic training major and I know that they are creating a new building which will have state-of-the-art technology for us to use and do our own research. The school is continually getting better and striving to be the best that it can be. Since the school is only 41 years old, they are doing pretty well compared to others that have been around for many more years.

Athletics: The school really tries to get the students involved but most students leave the stadium and/or court at half time during the games. There are some loyal fans who stay the whole games but many do not. For football games, the non-student section of the stands are not very crowded.

Campus Quality: Each of the facilities at this school is top of the line. I gave it an A because Liberty University's campus life is far from rusty. Their buildings are made by some of the best architects and building constructionists. We have new buildings coming almost every other year. We have a brand new baseball stadium soon to be arriving. The hangout spots are really enjoyable and above it all, LU has the Snowflex. Look it up!

Scholarships: I am personally blown away with how much the school actually wants you to attend. They help each student with providing them with the means to receive many school scholarships. I, myself, have received most of the available ones. They have great opportunities for financial aid.

Transportation: At Liberty University, the transportation is very convenient. Buses and transits are available at many different locations. On campus bus run everywhere and off campus buses take students to apartments as well. I am very pleased also with the times of the buses.

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Liberty university offers a wide range of scholarships and incentives and it is quite easy to take claim of them. From incoming freshman and transfer students Liberty offers a wide range of opportunities to make school affordable.

Party Scene: I give nightlife an A- because there is no partying on campus which in my opinion is a good thing. Even those who are 21 and over are not allowed to drink on or off campus. Obviously, not everyone has the same views or beliefs so there are the occasional off campus parties. However, there are major penalties by the school if you get caught.

2 College Sophomore

Diversity: We are very diverse in culture and ethnicity and sex. However when it comes to political beliefs and religion, we're all pretty much on the same page.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of options to choose from when it comes to eating off campus. From classy to fast food and reasonable prices. Many of the restaurant chains accept Flames Cash, which you have $200 of on your card.

5 College Junior

Guys & Girls: From an online experience each member of the faculty, as well as, students have been helpful, interactive, and supportive of each other.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I haven't received any information regarding additional scholarship opportunities and I am in desperate need (as a single-parent, f/t working / college student) I need to find additional help with making my educational process completely possible. I am not a residential student which makes the entire process a bit more taxing; I am the one responsible for finding the grants and scholarships needed.

Parking: Parking is pretty jammed and it is often difficult to find a good spot. You have to park at a specific location depending on where you live on campus and if you don't park there then you get towed and then pay about 100 dollars to get your vehicle back. They are currently working on parking issues so that things aren't so crowded.

Administration: The rules on campus are strictly enforced but they are not difficult rules to follow.

Academics: All staff are extremely helpful and informative. The courses are thorough and diverse. And a true sense of accomplishment is found upon the completion of each assignment.

Campus Food: So much diversity and options. Could never get board.

Majors: I'm a music major. I'm only a freshman, and haven't taken most of the classes specifically geared toward my major (music theory, aural skills, etc.), I'm taking mostly general ed courses. But I've spoken to professors I will be taking eventually and they are great, I can't wait to get started. Also, I have to take private lessons and be in any ensemble every semester, which is fun!

Scholarships: I had to call the University many, many times to figure out how to get my financial aid so I could finish "Financial Check-In" and be assigned to a room. So that was kind of a hassle. However, admissions counselors also called me lots of times to inform me of different scholarships and grants and other awards that I can easily get and they informed me a lot about how to get them. I got a TON of financial aid, which made it possible for me to come to Liberty University, but it was worth it. You just have to put the time and effort into looking for scholarships and grants and stay in touch with your financial aid office.

Campus Housing: There are a multiple of dorms you can chose from at Liberty University. There are dorms right in the middle of campus (Main Campus), making it close and easy to get to all of your classes (good pick for freshmen). However, those dorms usually have 3 people per room and it can get pretty crowded. There are dorms further away (South Campus), but you can easily take the bus anywhere on campus and the dorms are bigger with less people per room (usually 2). There is also the Residential Annex, which is technically off-campus, but you can take a bus onto campus. The Residential Annex is a hotel (the school bought it), there are 2 people per room and you get your own bathroom. Finally, there is East Campus which is usually a good pick for upperclassmen. It is apartment-style living, but it's more expensive. I personally love my dorm! I live on South Campus. There is plenty of room - only 2 people - and there is a bus that usually runs every 5-15 minutes and I can get anywhere I need to on campus.

Campus Quality: There are many places for students to hang out on campus. The Tilley Center is a great place to have lunch (that's where the Chick-Fil-A is!) and hang with friends.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Apartment complexes are close to campus and convenient to shopping, if you can get in.

4 College Junior

Academics: I transferred to Liberty, and I certainly don't regret it! The classes are challenging (although this depends largely on your degree, and how much you apply yourself), and the professors are amazing. I've never had a major problem with a professor, and I haven't heard of any 'problem teachers'
