Scholarships: Liberty has a lot of options for the price it costs to get in. However, financial aid is very limited and prevalent. I have had to search for scholarships elsewhere besides the school. Although, if you call Liberty or go and talk to admissions they are more than willing to help you find outside scholarships and will always pray with you and check and see how your search is going. My advise is don't give up the search for outside scholarships.

Transportation: They have transportation logistics for students and faculty.

Majors: I'm in the School of Aeronautics, and I love it. The professors are extremely helpful, and genuinely care about each student. It is not uncommon to run into the Dean or Assistant Deand and end up chatting about one's life. There are several clubs for the students such as Afterburners for the military aviators and Contrails for those pursuing a career in the airlines or as a corporate pilot. Many different speakers come in to talk at the meetings, such as recruiters from the airlines and FedEx, or one of the Blue Angels. Classes are never boring, and the sense of community among the students is strong. Also, on the flight line, the majority of flight instructors are very good, and everyone is quite friendly. The one problem is the bus system from main campus to the airport is not very efficient.

Off-Campus Dining: There are many restaurants, both sit-down and fast food, within a 5-min drive from the school. If one is willing to drive the 15 minutes to downtown Lynchburg, Market on Main has the most amazing patty melts ever, and has the vibe of a 50's diner and country store combined, during lunch time at least.

Parking: There's very little, and you'll have to fight for it if you want to park close to your classes.

4 College Junior

Local Area: There's lots to do at Liberty. Lynchburg....not so much. But Liberty, yes.

5 College Junior

Diversity: There are so many different students at Liberty. Lots of different technicalities, and Missions week is a parade of all the students from around the world at convocation. It's amazing.

Athletics: According to our news feeds we have a good althetes that rivals the more traditional schools such USF,FSU and UF.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: There virtually no use of narcotics/ alcohol on the campus. Compared to many other universities nation wide this school's values are on Christ.

Majors: I was looking for a Psychology program that was 100% online. I had looked elsewhere and liked other programs; however, the minute I spoke with online admissions specialist they were willing to pre accept me with just two classes to complete in my AS degree at a local college here in Florida.

Campus Quality: I liked that it is the largest non profit Christian University with old/real world values. I am Christian and I have been afford this opportunity to attend. I was in a 4 year college prior to applying to Liberty, and I feel that something greater than me has lead me to the doors of Liberty University.

Campus Quality: From The photos I have seen of this sprawling campus has an excellent football stadium and the school ahs been doing renovations across the campus.

5 College Junior

Academics: I have applied to other colleges that are 100% online; however, the staff at Liberty were so polite and helpful for my preadmission process. Also, their demeanor had been Christ centered and I felt comfortable to speak with staff at any given time during the day they had the answer, and if the staff member I was speaking to did not they would get me the correct answer.

Administration: I love the fact that Liberty University has very high standards for its students that attend residential classes. Parent don't ever have to worry about casual hook-ups, drugs, alcohol or even smoking around their children as none of it is permitted here at this school. No person is perfect and if someone wants something bad enough they are bound to find it, but Liberty does everything in its power to keep the campus smoke, drug, alcohol and casual sex free.

Guys & Girls: I have to express as an older student how well dressed and attractive the guys/girls are here at Liberty University. They definitely take pride in their appearance, which I believe brings about a better attitude about themselves and a stronger work ethic. There is a dress code on campus and I have not seen in my three years here at this school any person breaking the dress code.

Drug Safety: I have been attending Liberty University for three years now and I have not heard or seen anything about anyone using drugs. I have spoken to the Liberty University police before and have posed the drugs/alcohol question to them and they honestly told me that is not an issue here at this school. The worst they see is freshman out after curfew.

Local Area: small town feel coupled with a small downtown/inner city area. beautiful scenery from the mountains to the James River. Lynchburg is a very cool place.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are plenty of restaurants or grocery stores to chose from. Anything that you can find in a regular sized town, as well as a few local gems. Many of the restaurants accept flames cash with is included with out meal plan.

4 College Senior

Diversity: There are many different countries, ethnicities, languages, and races represented at my school. We even have global awareness weeks where all of our international students get to show off they're nation's pride and hold student events to raise awareness of the goings on in their countries.

Parking: Parking is really hard to come by at Liberty. Certain dorms don't even have their own parking lots, so some people have to park clear across campus as well as pay a lot for a parking pass in the first place. All good parking is reserved for off campus students, which is good, but it makes those that live on campus have to park really far from there dorms. Also, there are constantly events going on, where certain lots close and you can't park there. The school will issue out an email stating this up to like 3 hours before they'll tow, which is not reasonable at all. And they tow all the time...

Weather: When the weather is nice, everything is gorgeous. However, it rains all the time! When a rainy day comes, you know that you won't see the sun for the next week and it makes living there slightly depressing sometimes.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are many off campus places to dine that accept flames cash which is included with our meal plans.

5 College Junior

Academics: I am an online student and I love Liberty University. What mostly impressed me is that they are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in no matter the costs. They are their to help you in any way that they can in a christ like manner.

5 College Senior

Majors: I enjoy the classes Iam taking. I am a online student, any time I have called and needed to speak with anyone they are very Christ like. My teacher have been very understanding, with all the trials that I have been through, while being a missionary in Nigeria, and have gave me help and plenty of chances. I believe if I can jst make it through, to my bachelors, with financial help, in scholarships and grants, that it may get hard, but it will be better..with the Lord as my strength.

Academics: The Professors at Liberty are very educated. I find most to be very witty and wise. You can tell the profs. love the subject they're teaching and when the teacher is engaging it makes the subject that much more enjoyable.
