4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of off campus places to eat with a great price range. Things like CFA, Buffalo Wild Wings, Texas Roadhouse, McDonalds, and dozens of others

Administration: While rules are enforced, my RA's are very merciful often times and understanding

Scholarships: Very simple to get financial aid and to see on my account how much I am receiving.

Campus Food: Several strategic places too eat; however only one swipe per hour and the serving portions aren't that big at some places.

Overall Experience: Everything was handled well, which is especially important being a distance learning student from half a world away.

Scholarships: Overall it was an easy and painless process. The help desk at Financial Aid answered my questions politely and even helped me step-by-step on the financial check-in process.

Off-Campus Housing: Living off campus is great. It allows you to not have a curfew and enjoy being with friends away from Liberty University. It can be hard to find a place, but only because off campus living goes very quickly.

Off-Campus Dining: There are mostly chain restaurants off campus, but Lynchburg does have some great spots to eat and relax that are unique to the area.

Administration: The administration is fairly easy to work with and seems to be willing to help with whatever problem you may have. Sometimes administration is very busy so they need some time to help you, but they normally get to you.

Scholarships: Getting the financial aid you need isn't too hard if you know exactly what you need and you're qualified. It helps to have your parents call the school and deal with the financial aid office, they seem to take adults more seriously than college students

Party Scene: Liberty has a small party scene, but nothing compared to other colleges. Lynchburg doesn't have that much to do and a lot of people leave on the weekends to go to other schools nearby like Uva unless there is a major event going on in Lynchburg or at Liberty.

Campus Food: The food on campus is very average. The main dinning hall has many options but the quality of food is average to below average. Sub-Connection and Chick-Fil-A are pretty good options but get old quickly.

Campus Housing: Liberty University offers a great Christian learning environment, with tough academics and the ability to grow as a person. There is always something going on around campus which allows for a great social life and many opportunities to meet new people. Lynchburg doesn't have all that much to do, but once you make friends at Liberty you enjoy spending time with them and don't always need something to do.

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus is great. You have more space and it's not very far from campus. it is cheaper and are not required to attend convocation or any hall meetings. you will need a car or some public transportation to get to campus.

Administration: The rules are okay. The only issues is hall meetings and convocation. Hall meetings can sometimes affect education purposes and doesn't give you enough time to get assignments done. Convocation should be optional and a fine shouldn't be charged if you miss it or be late one time.

Scholarships: They give you great financial assistance. The process is a hassle and sometimes takes long. The main issue is how much finances you have to cover everything such as living expenses, printing charges, books , classes and so on. It's very expensive.

Campus Housing: The dorms are somewhat spacious. The rooms are clean. I think the cost should be a little less than what they are charging.

Athletics: Sports are a big deal here on campus every game here has a sea of red flowing into the student section. The athletic facilities are awesome! students have access to most of it so we have a pretty sweet gym. Which comes with every equipment under the sun, including a rock climbing wall.

Administration: LU has rules that they regularly enforce however the point of the rules are for our safety and once broken they aren't quick to boot you out for minor offenses. The more strict and the more times you commit an offense the more harsh your punishment. Which is as it should be.

Scholarships: I was the luck "contestant" that was randomly chosen to have my FAFSA verified which entails more work than normal but in the end I got plenty of my financial aid and covered my whole freshman year.

Party Scene: Its good wholesome fun! Of course if you wanted the classic raging college party you see in the cinema you will have to go else where. Liberty is a dry school and doesn't allow parties like that due to there being a conflict of interest since we are a christian school. I'm sure if you looked enough you'd find the bad but that is everywhere. The parties we do have though are all out. For the block party each semester it is like a huge carnival that a well known band closes out at the end of the night.

Campus Food: Currently Liberty is working on improving its dining options. We are building an entire new wing of food to Demoss Hall that will have a bowling alley and a multitude of new food options. The new options will range from Tex-Mex to Chinese and everything in between.
