Off-Campus Dining: i love the restaurants around my school because most of it is affordable and good. the best places to go are jenny's, nawab, la lupita, sal's, and asian bistro. they are all byob

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There is a great abundance of small locally owned restaurants in the immediate area as well as the typical chain restaurant options not to much further away.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Not much to choose from but some spots I really like. Campus Pizza, Broadway Social, Blue Sky Cafe, La Lupita are all good. Usually the prices are fair and all places are an easy walk just off campus.

4 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: There are several off-campus dining options that are convenient and reasonably priced with great variety.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: As a student with a meal plan on campus, I don't really dine off-campus. Despite that, there are a variety of different dining options available off-campus for anyone with any type of food preference. Some places are fairly cheap, and some places are fairly expensive. The myriad of options is great and the places are all within walking distance, which is a plus as well. There are also places that provide student discounts, however it only applies to those with a certain type of meal plan (GoldPlus)--if I had said meal plan, I would without a doubt eat off-campus more frequently.

Despite the fact that most students consider Bethlehem nothing more than a ghetto, the town actually has some surprisingly good restaurants. On the south side alone, there are at least 10 quality establishments, and once you cross over the bridge into historic Bethlehem, you’ll find a cluster of very classy restaurants with excellent food. Students with access to a car will open themselves up to a whole new world of possibilities, as there are some very good eateries in nearby Allentown. There definitely seems to be enough variety for everyone to find a place they enjoy. The biggest surprise to most students upon coming to Lehigh is how many good restaurants there actually are.

On any given day of the week, you’ll find Goosey Gander and Deja Brew packed with students clamoring for their terrific sandwiches. For anyone in need of great food at New York City prices, there’s the Apollo Grill, Hotel Bethlehem, and Edge. For good American food at a more reasonable price, check out BridgeWorks and Bethlehem Brew Works. Even the bars in Bethlehem have very good food—the Ho and J.P. McGrady’s are both student favorites.
