Academic Experience: My major i want to be enrolling in is criminal justice. At leeward i just plan to get my liberals done then hopefully get into Hawaii Pacific University where they offer my major there. My goal is to get my Associates Degree then continue on striving for my Bachelors.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Well I am very excited to be attending Leeward and I've heard great thing about here. My brother attends LCC and he is just about to graduate. He really loves it, he even gets to work on campus and i hope i will be able to do so too. He tells me his teachers are very passionate about their subjects they teach and are very helpful to their students.

Online Courses: Online courses have the same amount of work. The only thing I didn't quite like is the mandatory meeting every week; only because I needed a completely online course so it didn't conflict with my work schedule.

Career Services: I'm not quite sure yet, but I believe it will work itself out.

Overall Experience: The professors at the waianae campus are very concerned with each student and how they are doing, in class and out of. They truly make the students feel like they care.

Overall Experience: When I was in high school there were a bunch of college recruiters that came every week to our CCC building at Waianae High School. When I went to the campus, there weren't very many employers recruiting for jobs, or any career centers at the pearl city campus. At the waianae campus there were recruiters everywhere! A lot of my friends are actually currently working at a job through the college.

Academic Experience: The pearl city campus was just starting to build the education center for education majors, and honestly it looked amazing. I can't wait to return and actually use it. I feel like the hands on experience will be a lot more beneficial.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: It's a good school if you like a one on one basis with you professor. The classes are small, so it's easier to ask for assistance or to clarify something.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: My classes has been easier to maintain compared to my past school. After my last class of the day, I go straight to the library to work on my assignments.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I am currently taking an Online English class, and this is much more sufficient than attending a face-to-face class. The workload is manageable and the great thing is, you could move on to the next assignment if you want to get some feedback before turning in the Final papers.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I like that the class sizes are small. I came from a small high school, so this definitely made me comfortable with the setting. Also, with all the classes I've took so far, all of the professors are so nice, understanding and informative. If you have trouble comprehending an assignment, the professors are willing to help you right after class, or is willing to schedule with you in their office.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: There are many job opportunities here at this school that is posted on bulletin boards.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I recently took a Biology class and Lab, and the study lab at LCC is very helpful. What I love too, is that this school has a tutoring center that could help students with anything they need help on.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: This school helped me figure out what I want to major in. It has a big parking structure, has many study tables in the library, and the professors are very understanding and professional. If you're looking for guidance, and a cheaper alternative to your career path, then Leeward Community College is for you.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: the teachers are amazing and since I'm in Liberal Arts I can have many classes which advance my learning and the classes can be hard but very fun

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I would always choose this school again, the best choice of my life. The teacher made me feel comfortable in each class I had and made me feel like I can succeed. The had an amazing program called "on track" makes the first year comfortable and easier to adjust to the new setting and also helps with the picking of the classes and also making new friends which stay with you for the two semesters. I always will be thankful for this program.

Academic Flexibility: Some hassles I had experienced would have to be when I overlooked some due dates for assignments for my online classes. Some teahers are lenient about that, but since its an online class, the professors take it seriously.

Online Courses: So far, I have enjoyed my online classes. They are very straight to the point and cover all the concepts that the teacher talked about in the beginning. The difference between an online class and a traditional classroom experience is that for online classes, your teacher is not there teaching you the material, you have to read it on your own and on your own time while in a traditional classroom, the teacher would go over the material with you on that day. Laulima is an easy system to use for online classes. Also, if teachers have created their own website material, they will attach it to a file somewhere on laulima which is really helpful and convenient.

Overall Experience: The professors I had so far are very nice and knowledgable about the subject they teach. Some teachers could better their agenda for that day, but overall they were lenient towards the students. I like how there are a wide variety of courses offered. The class styles depend on what class you take. For instance, the art class has many paintings hanging on the wall and a bunch of other art related work all over the class, but for a math class there was a monitor set up and rows filled with chairs. Just a typical classroom setting. The class sizes are between 20-30 students a class.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I know for sure that if you're majoring in culinary, there is a restaurant located on campus and the students work there to gain knowledge and experience working there.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Since my major is Liberal Arts, it is basically all the basic classes that I need to take. The workload is pretty fair, I guess it depends on how many classes you take a semester. The school also offers jobs to the students.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: My college experience has been a really good one so far. So far there have been many job fairs and different types of events that help the students here branch out and join other clubs/orginizations and also apply for jobs. This school offers many great opportunities that will later benefit myself and others if we wanted to transfer to a 4 year college.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I have a flexible classes. i have vacant time just enough to do my homework for other classes. Sometimes classes are hard but you need to learn and focus to it in order to understand the the professor is talking about. Concentrate in every class you have and I'm sure you would not have any difficulties or frustration on that class.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: I wills it is ok because I'm a new student so I do not know much more about the school yet. But from what I see, they have a good quality in the career center.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: All the professors that I have are nice, Every time i email the, they always reply back as soon as they read y email. They are very approachable, Class styles are pretty much the same in all my classes. We have lectures and discussions the quizzes and exams. The courses that I'am taking are not that easy but not that hard as well. For me, classes are hard if you do not listen to class or if you do not attend your class.
