3 College Sophomore

Athletics: If Lee wanted to just focus on sports in general then their advertisements& commercials they play during chapel would say so but most students on campus aren't big into athletic games or going into a sports game in general, or that's the way i view it.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I live with my parents so I don't have anything to say about this.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Dining off campus is a little better then dinning on campus.

Better quality, better choices, better pricing if students eat off campus.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: I dont live on campus so im not sure how stick it is at the dorms but in classrooms some professors are pretty strick about what they teach.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: My only problem for now is the lack of scholarships that lee has to offer.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: Wished the flyers where more descriptive to where the event would be hosted at.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Variety of choices to eat on campus: Few, need more choices.

Dinning Hall: Rebuild a new dinning hall for the campus that looks like UTK's or UTC's dinning halls. It looks like a nursing home cafeteria.

Pricing: some places are too expensive then others.

(Example: Dunkin is extremely cheap then Einsteins but Einstein's has better quality coffee & food choices than Dunkin)

Ways to use your meal plan/flex: Make an agreement with some of the fast food restaurant (example: fazolis, checkers, wendy's, waffle house) in Cleveland to agree that students can come by and buy any meal combo with their lee card or flex. If they go over a certain amount (example: over $20 or $30 of food) the restaurant will give a small percent back to the students flex or give a small percent to the college/university.

Overall Experience: Students can get jobs, internships, ect. They are accessible but you really need to look for them.

4 College Freshman

Administration: In Livingston East, they are strict with room check, having guys over, and noise. But all is reasonable.

3 College Freshman

Local Area: It's okay but I don't really go out. I usually stay on campus or go to work.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I have not seed Greek life affect the social atmosphere of campus. Most students do not like the Greek students. I am not sure what kind of Greek housing are available for them.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I have not actually lived off campus but I have friends who are commuters and they enjoy it and have cheap rent costs.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I have not actually been to a party here at Lee campus but I know that there is parties that clubs make which can be a positive impact on the student experience.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There is always campus safety vehicles driving around so it is ensuring that they are always looking out for us.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I like how there is a variety of options to go eat at and if you are wise enough you could get good healthy food for really cheap. E.g. went to a restaurant really late one night and I ate a stack of whole wheat, banana, and pecan pancakes for only two dollar. To me, that is a great deal! Especially if you are in a budget.

Greek Life: It plays a huge negative affect on the schools, except for the free food events that they host.

College Senior

Majors: I have not had an internship but I wouldnt know how to go about getting one either.

2 College Senior

Party Scene: There is not really a party life here not one i know of.

3 College Senior

Local Area: I am from Los Angeles, CA so Cleveland, TN is a big difference!

Overall Experience: I LOVE my college experience thus far! The professors are THE best!! they genuinely care for your well being. They are the most intellectual, caring, kind, and determined people I have ever met.

Athletics: Students only attend basketball games, sometimes. I do not see sports being a big thing on campus. The gym is okay but it can be better compared to other on campus gyms I have visited.

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: I might be bias because I have worked with Residential Life and Housing for the last 2 years.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: The school does not really provide this kind of help. The pros is the extended freedom. The cons are the extra responsibility that comes with that freedom.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: As for tips I would say just be kind to the workers, that is how I learned about my scholarship possibilities.

3 College Senior

Administration: My school is very conservative. I said it was okay because they just want what they feel is what is best for us. For some that is being way to strict and therefore bad but for others they really appreciate the rules so it the best. For me, I think it's okay because i see what it prevents and I am ookay with that for now but I am not sure if I would always want to leave under these rules.

Lee University prides itself in the involvement it has with students. Teachers and students can talk to each other and get personal attention in the classroom and during office hours. Lee is not such a big school that you cannot get personal interaction during the day. The faculty is very interested in the individual students and making sure the student is getting the most out of his or her learning. Lee also assigns an individual faculty adviser to each student that helps guide the student through academic choices and picking classes. Moreover, if a student is going through a rough time and feels like he or she needs help, there are a variety of school mental health counselors with whom the students can meet for free by appointment.

The school seeks to foster young adults who are not only capable in the classroom, but are well-rounded people. In each class, before the lesson begins, the teachers sometimes give a small devotional and open up the room for prayer requests. This is a good way for students to be able to open up in class and receive prayer for their needs. Since Lee is a private Christian school, it is allowed to do so, and many students enjoy this aspect of class. Those who hold religious beliefs that are different from those of the school are treated with equal respect in the classroom and generally do not mind the prayer since they know the school is Christian-based when they apply.
