3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Our Campus Security can't really do much to prevent violence, so feeling safe is kind of an issue I face as a woman.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I think that Lee is an amazing university, however my own personal experience here hasn't been all that memorable. Everything good that happens to me is off campus. Other people seem to really enjoy their Lee experience, I however haven't quite gotten there.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Not many people have heard of Lee, so having a degree from here isn't like a degree from Harvard, Yale, or Princeton, but it isn't like someone who went to community college.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Campus housing is okay, I wouldn't say that it's outstanding, but I don't hate it. The dorms are a bit small which was to be expected, however they are slow on getting things out. I was supposed to receive my housing assignment for next year a week ago and still have yet to see one.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: As a student at Lee I enjoy all the classes I've taken, regardless of how I feel about the professor. However, my parents who are Lee alum and every student I've talked to has told me that this college experience will be the best one ever, and I have yet to see it in my freshman year. I am however looking forward to my sophomore year and have great expectations for what I can accomplish socially, academically, and spiritually. Would I choose Lee again? I probably would because of the few amazing things it has brought me, however unlike many other people here, I don't feel the sense of community I've been told I'll feel.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love Lee. I would get better Humanities professors that don't leave you out in the cold when you need help.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I don't think it will be a problem getting a job after I graduate the nursing program. Jake Fast is an amazing man and super helpful.

Campus Housing: I love living in Sharp-Davis. My RA and my RD as well as my chaplain are the best around.

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I rushed a sorority and got in but due to my studies I decided to pull my application so that I could focus more on my work.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: I love the Rec Center and how available the workout space is for people who don't play sports.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love my college thus far. I just recently got accepted into the nursing program and I really could use financial help.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: campus secuirty is on most things and campus is located right next to police station.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: great staff but a very churchy feel to it. great academics.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: no idea yet i am a junior and haven't started looking for a job yet.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: typical dorms no coed dorms and strict visitation rules

4 College Junior

Greek Life: lots of greek clubs to choose from and they are pretty nice cliquey but good.

1 College Junior

Athletics: sports teams are great. but the fan section is not.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Christian school so more focus on christian principles than of academic. otherwise a great school.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: I've heard it the best but i don't take part in either the sports or music facilites

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: overall lee is the best choice

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: seeing that its a christian school, all of the students are safe of for the most part have good morals. unfortunately there is a ghetto area right across the railroad tracks from lee and sometime they venture over on to campus. campus security does a good job of making sure they do no harm to people, though.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Lee has so much to offer for everybody. it is a christ-centered campus indeed and that is great but if you arent super religious it is still a great place to be with the quality of education you receive. the teachers ive had ar efor the most part very personal and care deeply about you.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Lee partners with several churches that can get students internships to different firms, other churches, and even media stations. if you put yourself out there, they'll support you.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: all of the campus housing is great! just wish that the freshman/sophomore dorms had kitchens.

Lee University prides itself in the involvement it has with students. Teachers and students can talk to each other and get personal attention in the classroom and during office hours. Lee is not such a big school that you cannot get personal interaction during the day. The faculty is very interested in the individual students and making sure the student is getting the most out of his or her learning. Lee also assigns an individual faculty adviser to each student that helps guide the student through academic choices and picking classes. Moreover, if a student is going through a rough time and feels like he or she needs help, there are a variety of school mental health counselors with whom the students can meet for free by appointment.

The school seeks to foster young adults who are not only capable in the classroom, but are well-rounded people. In each class, before the lesson begins, the teachers sometimes give a small devotional and open up the room for prayer requests. This is a good way for students to be able to open up in class and receive prayer for their needs. Since Lee is a private Christian school, it is allowed to do so, and many students enjoy this aspect of class. Those who hold religious beliefs that are different from those of the school are treated with equal respect in the classroom and generally do not mind the prayer since they know the school is Christian-based when they apply.
