Overall Experience: Being at school has been the best time of my life. It changed me a lot. It has bettered me.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: My experience at Lee University has been amazing! I have made so many friends and they have helped me through my first year at University.

Overall Experience: The campus is beautiful. Most of the professors generally care about students receiving and education, with that actually learning not just retaining to regurgitate it back on a test. It is really far away from home witch has been the hardest part but the area is rough on one side but it opens up a great opportunity to help others and build relationships with people who are a little down right now.

Health & Safety: Safety is done pretty well at school. Naturally there could always be more security, but we have on campus security and we have the police station down the street.

Greek Life: It depends on which Greek Club you meet. There are some Greek Clubs that are very friendly and down to earth while there are others that are a little more snobby. Over all they are decently nice to non Greeks.

4 College Freshman

Administration: They act like they're gonna be crazy strict, but students get away with so much

Scholarships: Not a ton of scholarships, but received a lot of financial aid, which went great!

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: Everything is great besides the cafeteria!

3 College Freshman

Administration: The Alcohol and Drug Abuse policies are very good in my opinion. However, some of the lesser rules such as noise violations are annoying and repetitively enforced within residential life.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It just took a little while for the money to come in for my other scholarships. All the scholarships given from the school went pretty smoothly though.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Good options overall. The caf food is very sub par, and you have to find something consistent that you like or you won't go back.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: It is a great on campus experience. The dorm life is really great, and the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly upon arrival. The dorms are pleasant, and relatively spacious. There's a pool table, television, and a few other things offered for residents. It's enough to distract from homework! Getting in to the dorms is as simple as filling out a housing application. The staff are very friendly and make the process very smooth.

Scholarships: N/A

I didn't get any scholarships, that's for sure.

2 College Freshman

Campus Food: Cafeteria food sucks! Most of the time, they give the same food and it gets tiring after a while. Words cannot describe how bad the food is; it just sucks!

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The atmosphere is really great. The campus itself is really clean and you will always feel a sense of peace in the area. The housing process is smooth, and the dorms aren't so bad.

Overall Experience: The courses I have taken, at least in my major, have been very engaging. The higher level courses require a lot of work, but it is all pertinent and helpful for learning the subject. You become very close with those in your major, because you have almost all of the same classes.

Overall Experience: The alumni network is great. Many alumni comeback to visit and keep up with each other, the professors, and those still at Lee. There is a career fair every year and a job application workshop especially for Humanities majors. Other than that, I do not really know what opportunities there are for jobs.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: My major, Humanities, is wonderful. The professors are great and really care about the students. This major is not for the faint of heart. We work very hard and write a lot of papers.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Most of the professors are great. All full time professors are very intelligent. The required religion core is a hassle, but you only have to take four classes, so it is not too bad.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of places to eat around campus. Not many places offer student discounts, simply because college students make up most of the Cleveland population. There are a lot of chain restaurants around town and also a good amount of local places.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: We have great variety in the food choices at Lee. There are lots of tasty places to get food. However, barely any of the good food fits on a meal amount. If you do not have a lot of Flex dollars than you have to eat in the Cafeteria a lot, which is not very good at all.

Lee University prides itself in the involvement it has with students. Teachers and students can talk to each other and get personal attention in the classroom and during office hours. Lee is not such a big school that you cannot get personal interaction during the day. The faculty is very interested in the individual students and making sure the student is getting the most out of his or her learning. Lee also assigns an individual faculty adviser to each student that helps guide the student through academic choices and picking classes. Moreover, if a student is going through a rough time and feels like he or she needs help, there are a variety of school mental health counselors with whom the students can meet for free by appointment.

The school seeks to foster young adults who are not only capable in the classroom, but are well-rounded people. In each class, before the lesson begins, the teachers sometimes give a small devotional and open up the room for prayer requests. This is a good way for students to be able to open up in class and receive prayer for their needs. Since Lee is a private Christian school, it is allowed to do so, and many students enjoy this aspect of class. Those who hold religious beliefs that are different from those of the school are treated with equal respect in the classroom and generally do not mind the prayer since they know the school is Christian-based when they apply.
