Academic Experience: LCC doesn't actually have an Architecture program, but they do have classes that help increase the skills needed for the major.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: The journalism program is all about leaving with a great portfolio that will help in getting a job after college. I feel the school is very realistic in their approach. They understand that while getting good grades and passing the classes you need are important, the work we do is more important. And it is that work that will take us the furthest in our chosen career fields. The journalism school I feel, is also continuously looking to find new ways to teach students about journalism and is continuously posing to students the question of how we can make journalism better. These are very unique traits of the UO's journalism program, and I feel it largely sets them apart from many other journalism schools.

In addition to the school's unique traits, the curriculum allows for students to go down many paths to fully determine what they want to do in journalism. The facilities of the school include an equipment checkout, ample computer labs, and study spaces. The only thing it is missing is a coffee shop. The workload for most classes is large and time-intensive, but you know that it is worth it.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: They offer many courses in CS, CIS and MTH

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Lane has a good legal program I guess. Most of the classes that you need are online and are actually from UCC.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Lane Community College is just an ordinary two-year college with trade school roots, so I have taken a mountain of general-education requirements without really honing in on my Business major. All of the classes have been more or less challenging, especially when considering the great distance I have to walk between classes, the vastly different subject matter, and the full-time workload. In short, I feel well-grounded in the basics of a college education, but still feel unprepared for my career of choice.
