A Great Place to Learn – When I decided to go back to school to do a LPN to RN bridge program, I had examined many colleges. I found that Lakeland has an excellent program with very successful results. They are very affordable, close to many counties and have incredible instructors. I have taken both online and traditional classes and find them both to have desirable attributes. Lakeland also has many clubs that one can join as well as international students, non-traditional students and the traditional student. They offer many associate degree programs that transfer to numerous colleges as well as having partnerships set up with colleges/universities such as Kent State, Cleveland State, Ursuline and many others for those wishing to advance their college education. There is an onsight gym free to students, student government, athletics and music among other activities! Lakeland is simply a fine community college with many activities for everyone!

This school has a lot of facilities that accompany my learning experiences. I would like to eventually become an occupational therapist, which works with disabled people. This school offers many lounge areas for me to study in, which has definitely helped with studying for exams! Their library has a lot of resources that have been helpful to my learning experience, and also a fitness center that combines working out and studying at the same time!

Any kind of person you could ever want to meet can be found at Lakeland! Men and women; 16 year olds to 80 year olds; single mothers; working fathers; high school students studying for dual-credit, college students, transfer students, and community members studying for personal enrichment! Some students wear skirts every day, while others come in black leather and purple hair! Blacks, whites, Asian, Indians, Europeans, and Hispanics can all be found at Lakeland. It is truly a joy to see such a diverse student body!
